If you're looking for a quiet vacation or a romantic getaway this is the place.
Come sit by the woodstove, walk the beach or curl up with a good book. This is a quiet retreat from a hectic world.
We love to watch the eagles fly along our beach at window level from the living room or sit on the deck and listen to the waves lapping the beach.
Conveniently located in the center of beautiful Whidbey Island on Admiralty Inlet. Between Coupeville and Freeland. Each town has shopping and restaurants.
We have a nice king size bed and a new queen futon in the loft along with 2 bathrooms.
Pets are welcome for an additional fee.

Our family of four including two girls 9 and 12 recently spent 3 nights at Eagles Watch and had a wonderful stay. The location is amazing, very private and with incredible views across the inlet to mainland Washington and the Olympic mountains. The beach is literally steps away and at night all you can here is the ocean waves breaking on the beach beneath you. The house is incredibly well appointed with everything you could need for a family stay including a barbecue and a great deck. It is also very well located to explore Whidbey Island and we would highly recommend it to anyone!
We recently stayed at Eagles Watch Cottage. It was amazing! Very private location with a full 180 degree oceanfront view! We never ate dinner out once as the view from the house was better then anything else around! The house was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all sorts of pots and pans and cooking utensils. This made preparing meals easy and enjoyable. We walked down to the beachfront everyday to skip stones and pick up shells and to just take in the view. We also saw 4 deer on the property morning and night, this was such a pleasant surprise and the kids really enjoyed watching them too. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and we will definately be back again.
My wife and I spent most of each day enjoying the incredible view complete with bald eagles, the snow covered peaks of the olyimpic mountains and the reflection of the evening sun off of the calm puget sound. Best night of sleep ever. Its an amazing place and I will definitly return.
The view from the home is really amazing although the windows have broken seals which causes condensation problems. This makes it difficult to see through some of the windows. There are also a few other areas where the lack of attention to detail make this accommodation only average. Primarily this relates to the cleanliness of the property. For example, old shampoo bottles and stray hairs in the shower; a layer of dust under the futon; a crusted layer of crumbs between the two ovens; dead bugs in decorative vases in the living room; and just a general feeling of surface clean only.
The central location was great as it provided good access to all of Whitbey Island's towns and attractions. The home's layout and furnishings were comfortable.
This was a fantastic stay for myself and my daughters. The location was terrific. It was quiet (except for the ambient sounds of the fog horns across the water), peaceful and private. The view is spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the fog roll across the water in the a.m. and the sun setting in the p.m. Whidbey island traffic was no problem and it was easy to get to Coupeville for my workshop and groceries. We also traveled the other direction and took in a wonderful dinner at Gordon's in Freeland as recommended. We really appreciated being able to share the experience with our canine buddies. The easy access to the beach made dog walks particularly enjoyable. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay to share with friends and family.
We loved the Eagles Watch! It was a very comfortable location with gorgeous views and lovely peace and quiet. We rented over the 4th of July, and while we were able to see 6 different fireworks displays from the front window; shortly after those concluded, peace descended again and we were able to sleep - the perfect combination! The house was clean and well-maintained, the bed was comfortable, the amenities all that was described.
The beach was just a short walk away, and was great for strolling, especially at low tide. Generally, our dog is a bit apprehensive when we first go somewhere new, but he had a wonderful time as well (I think he was a little bummed when we returned home, in fact!), what with the beach and Greenbank Farm both so close.
We only wished for three things while there - a grill, some moveable outside chairs, and, every late afternoon as the sun came pouring in those huge windows, some shades. The bedroom was always lovely and cool, but the living room could get quite hot. These were only small issues, though, and easily forgotten while watching the hummingbirds or the little chipmunk (squirrel?) living in the birdhouse on the big pine.
We made our friends very jealous by posting photos of the lovely sunsets, the beach, and the fun things we did. We would definitely rent this house again.
