Emerald Island is a gated resort community located less than 3 miles from the Disney parks. It features a large clubhouse with 2 pools, spa, sauna, gym and 2 lighted tennis courts set in beautifully landscaped grounds. It also has children play areas and trails for walking, jogging and biking through the natural woodland setting.There are numerous restaurants and shopping malls within a walking distance or short drive and there are over 30 golf courses in the area including 5 within Disney.
At the entrance to Emerald Island Resort is the vast Clubhouse, which offers an impressive range of facilities including a swimming pool, spa pool, sauna/steam room, cabana, 2 floodlit tennis courts, volleyball court, gym, games room, Internet cafe, club lounge and barbecue/picnic area. Adjacent to the Clubhouse is a children's play area.
By the clubhouse pool is the Tiki bar and a sun-deck.
Newspapers and other items are available in the Clubhouse, which also provides tourist information and help with dinner reservations.
The Clubhouse also offers a shuttle service to and from Florida's theme parks and other attractions.
