We chose this property because we needed three bedrooms (4 adults and 1 infant). We came from the East coast to attend a wedding at a nearby beach front hotel. All our needs were filled. Clean comfortable beds. Two very small bathrooms. Private setting with hunt for a vacant street parking space. Charlie was just a phone call away if needed. Would consider staying here in the future.

Cute Santa Monica Cottage

Lovely cottage & very clean! Close to Santa Monica Beach & a fifteen minute walk to pier/shops. Plenty of room for the five of us. Beds very comfortable lovely linen and bedding. Everything we needed (Charles threw in tea & coffee :-). Mini-Mart on the corner for basic food requirements but a car or cab would be required to get to the local whole foods market about a twenty five to thirty minute walk. Two bathrooms but really only one shower, second bathroom has a shower head on the bath.

Fantastic family rental close to the beach

The house was pretty much exactly as described in the listing as regards location and property appearance and amenties, it was claen and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with questions and concerns especially when we mentioned a kettle would be nice to make tea (yes we are english) he went and bought a new one for us that day! This rental is good value for several adults and children - it felf very safe. It is very close (walking distance) to beautiful santa monica beach - We strongly recommend hiring bikes at one of the many rental outfits along the beach - it is not too far from hollywood, burbank and griffith park ( a great spot for a little hike and great view of city)

This cute renovated 1920’s beach cottage in Santa Monica suited our family of four like a charm. It’s very private, feels very secure and the neighborhood is even quieter than our home in the mountains of Colorado.

Every day of our stay during one week in February, half our family walked from this little house to Santa Monica Pier and the beach; one could surely walk to the cool shops and restaurants of Santa Monica as well. The other half of our family drove from here to tour L.A. colleges via Interstate-10 which has an on-ramp easily accessible from the house; a priority street parking pass comes with the cottage and so parking was no problem.

The house was clean and stylish and has comfortable, quality linens. We slept 4 in a house that could well fit 6 - we each enjoyed good space. We used the wi-fi, TV and DVD player, and cooked in the kitchen every day; everything was operational and in fine shape, including the furnace which we needed during the coldest week of their So. California winter! There’s a bedroom with a queen bed and attached toilet/shower, and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom (toilet/footed tub) shared by the second bedroom (queen bed) and the third bedroom (single bed and single trundle bed). The house has a nice, enclosed patio that would be terrific outdoor dining in summer; the ping-pong table and BBQ was not available in February. There is a washer/dryer with supplies which is an asset to any comfortable stay.

Charles is a very nice host, he respected our privacy and his instructions/directions were spot on and timely. Charles quickly dealt with one minor problem we had upon check-in and, upon check-out, promptly and beautifully packaged up and mailed an important item we left behind. Check-in and check-out was smooth and easy (something I always stress about when using VRBO). Thank you Charles!

We would stay here again and so we highly recommend this nice cottage in Santa Monica.

Privacy reigned during our family's stay in this back-lane, detached house. There was little traffic noise at night and the beds were very comfortable so we enjoyed deep sleeps. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry (a real plus for us) and good shopping options nearby. The house is well located to quickly access major highways if you're exploring the area by car, and the owner provided a permit for street parking. We would stay here again!
