Absolute High! Need we say more? Panoramic views are yours to enjoy from this beautiful log cabin perched high on a mountainside at 3900 feet in the Carolina Mountains. Located just minutes from downtown West Jefferson in a private setting, this cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple or a small family. From the moment you arrive, Absolute High will take your breath away with its beautiful mountain views on the outside and its warm and homey feel on the inside. The main level features an open floor plan with living area, kitchen and dining area. A stone fireplace with gas logs adds to the character of this cabin. Numerous windows allow natural light in and offer mountain views from inside. A flat screen TV with local channels & ESPN package is located in the cozy living area. The well-equipped kitchen is located off the living area and a dining area with seating for 6 is too. Prepare a family meal and not miss a moment of the fun! Also on the main level , you will find the luxurious master suite with queen size bed & more windows for taking in those mountain views. The master bath features a Jacuzzi tub and step in shower. A TV with DVD only is also provided in the master suite. Upstairs is 2 full size bedrooms with plenty of windows for enjoy the mountain views that share a full bath. One bedroom features a queen size bed, while the other features two twin beds. Each is decorated in beautiful country quilts that will take you back in time. Whether you spend your days looking for adventure then coming back to Absolute High to rest and relax or you are looking for a peaceful retreat then this cabin is just what you are looking for. West Jefferson is just a short drive away with art galleries, restaurants and quaint shops and Boone is just a 20 minute drive. If you need additional space for family, “A Mile High Vista, Rest Assured, Enchanted View, A Sunrise Sensation, A Heavenly View and Creekside Dream are all within a short walk or drive.

Perfect Retreat

We just returned from four nights at this beautiful cabin. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Plus all the extra amenities were greatly appreciated. Loved the huge porch with rockers. The view is amazing and so peaceful.

The temperature is cooler at this altitude, a huge plus in this hot weather. Morning coffee on the porch was wonderful. Evenings were beautiful with the stars feeling so close. Lights from the valley and distance mountains were also beautiful. We just can't say enough about this cabin and location. I was able to pick up wifi with my mobile broadband, although it wasn't consistent. Totally server related.

We will be back. Thanks so much for a wonderful trip!

Loved our visit to Absolute High!

Enjoyed the peace at this cabin perched high in the mountains. Great view of valley below; wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Easy access to West Jefferson and Boone. Saw deer in yard below; birding was excellent. My daughter loved the tub; I the walk in shower. Whole cabin nicely decorated; homey; large sofas to lounge on in front of fireplace. Loved spending time on the upper deck. Missed wifi but enjoyed reading instead. Even our dog was a "happy girl"!
