2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-8)

The 2 bedroom, 1 bath house (converted into a duplex) serves as a quaint bohemian retreat with stunning hillside views, great decks, large yard, and a firepit. Fully furnished with a remodeled kitchen and remodeled bathroom (double sinks). Dining room, living room with 42' high definition plasma TV, and laundry room. One bedroom has a Queen bed, 38' TV, and has French doors that open up onto a private deck. The other bedroom has a day bed, with trundle that could easily be turned into a queen bed as well. The 2nd bedroom also has a desk and a big, beautiful bay window that looks out to the mountains and over the terraced garden. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room, and queen air mattress should you need to accommodate more people. House has direct TV, wireless internet, linen and towels included. Garage parking is available (if requested) for one compact car on very quiet, private street.

Touted as Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path, park and hikeable hills), a large dog park and the famous music venue - Spaceland - all within walking distance. 5 minutes away from metro lines (Vermont), Echo Park, Atwater Village, 10 minutes to Los Angeles' historical downtown, museums, Dodger Stadium, Los Feliz, Griffith Park/equestrian trails/tennis/hiking; 15 mins. to Staples Center, Hollywood, Glendale, Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Burbank, Union Station (train station); 20 minutes to West Hollywood, Beverly Hills; 25 minutes to the beach in Santa Monica or Venice; 40 mins. to Disneyland; Close to 5, 101, 2 and 134 freeways.

Sweet, easy place to stay

I met friends for a long weekend in LA and we all loved the house. The location is quiet and convenient, and the house is roomy. We spent a lot of time on the deck looking out at the lovely view. We all agreed we'd happily stay there again. Highly recommended, and a bargain for LA.

Excellent Location in Silver Lake

What a comfortable alternative to hotel stays! I chose this property for its close proximity to the campus of USC during commencement week. There were six adults and a small dog, and we all had plenty of room and comfort during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet, very dog-friendly, and gave a nice sense of safety and privacy. The home is clean and has plenty of room for extended stays. Photos and the video floor plan are spot-on accurate. As far as activities, attractions, and restaurants go, take your pick! You are centrally located to some of L.A.'s finest in all domains. The property owner is exceptionally nice, and responded promptly to any inquiries that were made. Previous reviewers comments were important in making my choice for this rental, and I'm happy to add my "first hand experience" recommendation to other travelers who are looking for a great place to stay in Los Angeles.

What a lovely stay we had at this house! After our drive up into the hills, we pulled up to the house and got inside and looked around, and what a lovely house it is! Cozy and comfy, with a nice big bathroom, BEAUTIFUL views, well-appointed kitchen, what's not to love? We'd love to stay at this house the next time we're in Los Angeles... everything was great!

This is an excellent property and a great value. You get all the comforts of home and even hotel ammenities such as plush towels, fluffy comforters, coffee and toiletries in a beautiful, roomy setting. With outdoor spaces and amazing views you will not easily find or at affordable prices. We loved the quiet and privacy of this hilltop home which was so close to major LA attractions. My family of 4 had plenty of privacy as well. A charming, lovely place In a great neighborhood.
