This creekside home provides the perfect spot for a quiet, secluded retreat. As the name suggests, this charming house sits in a wooded glen next to a tranquil, stocked mountain stream. Inside you'll find spacious accommodations including a dining/living room area, full kitchen, sunroom, 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a second-floor sitting room and laundry room. And since you’re just a mile from town, it’s just a short drive or bike ride to Ligonier’s many shops and eateries.

Rustic elegance on the banks of the Loyalhanna Creek. Fall asleep to the sounds of the babbling brook in one of the house’s four bedrooms.

The Living Room is large and spacious with its comfortable furniture, working fireplace, and flat-screen television. It is the definition of relaxation. The roomy kitchen will allow you to indulge your inner chef as you prepare meals for the ones you love. Situated right off the living room, the dining room features a old-fashioned country dining room set, perfect for a memorable family gathering. If you want a spot to play a board game with the kids or just escape with a warm cup of tea, the sunroom’s the place to be.

Fire up the stone barbeque, stretch out in an Adirondack chair, or just stroll around the spacious grounds that surround the Creekside house. The kids will love running around the yard, playing on the play set, or exploring down by the creek. Plenty of fishing rods for your use in the stocked creek with bait available in two local shops.

A getaway that I wish would have never ended....

I was looking for something relatively close to Pittsburgh to surprise my girlie with for a little vacation. I may have been more surprised than her. What a charming little cottage. Quietly nestled along a babbling creek and just a minute or two from downtown Ligonier, I cannot say enough. The house was extremely clean and ready for us to relax. We hiked, went to a little art museum down the street, enjoyed the local shops and a health food store. The local community was endearing. If you want to get away without going to far, this is the place. We will be back before long.

We booked this rental at the last minute to attend a family funeral. The owner went above and beyond to prepare the house for our arrival. It is a very charming house situated on a large corner lot. The photos accurately reflect the house. Though less than 5 minutes from Ligonier, we felt like we were in the country. The loft space was a great little nook for reading/napping. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. My family especially enjoyed the sun room where we relaxed and watched the local wildlife. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this house if you are planning a stay near Ligonier or surround areas.

Summer Getaway

My wife, son and I had a wonderful time on our summer getaway. Our son enjoyed playing and fishing in the creek. The property is private with a large yard for outdoor activities and games. Loved grilling outside hearing the stream. Cottage was well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing the family of deer almost every day while walking down the lane. We would definitely recommend staying at the cottage for a peaceful getaway.

Cousins Vacation

The house was great! We had 4 adults and 4 children and we had plenty of room. However the playset in the backyard was not safe and should be torn down before someone gets hurt, we could not find the grill tools and there was not any hand soap for the bathrooms. Most of the games had missing pieces and there was not volleyball or badmitton equipment like is stated in the description. Air conditioning and a pool would be awesome and make the house perfect.
We loved playing in the creek and fishing. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were great. We really had a great time and would recommend the property also we plan to stay again in the future!

Loved staying here! Very pretty and relaxing! House has everything you need. My husband was in area for work and we were not sure how long our stay would be but they were fantastic about working with us! I would stay again if ever in the area again!
