This luxurious setting boasts over 1000' of waterfront and has 26 spectacular acres to explore, including a private show jumping equestrian facility. Renters can choose from 3 rental houses that are part of this estate. Perhaps the cozy 1800 square foot Guest House (VRBO listing #352599) which sits nestled in the trees is perfect for your getaway; or the Lakeside House (VRBO listing #375561) with the large screened in porch that overlooks the lake where you can sit for hours listening to the sounds of the water; or the luxurious 8000+ square foot Main House with the best views on the lake might be the ideal setting for you and your family and friends. Whatever your preference, this will be a vacation you won't soon forget!

The Main House was constructed in 2004 with outstanding quality and attention to detail. The 8000+ square foot estate house with its spectacular views can easily accommodate 15 people in the beds provided. It offers 3 bedrooms with ensuites, a more private 3rd floor studio apartment with access from both inside and outside the house and a separate bedroom which can easily sleep 7 people in the beds provided. There is also a pull-out sofa in the family room and plenty of space for air mattresses for extra sleeping capacity. This magnificent lodging offers many square feet of terraces and patios on three levels which overlook the pool and lake offering spectacular sunset views. The estate offers an outdoor entertainment area with gas grill, sink, fridge and granite counter-tops. Other features include a home theater, air hockey, internet, mirrored gym, pool with water park quality pool slide from the 2nd floor terrace, hot tub/spa and fire pit. There is satellite TV in the main floor living area and in all bedrooms.

This estate is a perfect place to entertain and a wonderful location for a family reunion, a corporate retreat or just a getaway with your family and/or friends.

About The Owner

As long as I can remember, I've loved the peace and quiet of rural living and being near the water. After over a year of searching, I found this piece of paradise on Lake Buchanan. It took several years to design and build the Main House, Lakeside House and Guest House but it was well worth it! Inspired by Tuscany, I built with a focus on enjoying life and escaping the stress of everyday life.

Why The Owner chose Lake Buchanan

The Main House is still my home but I find that I spend much of my time away so I decided to share my fabulous house with people who enjoy the privacy and countryside as much as I do.

What makes this house unique

This is a very private Estate and an excellent place to kick back and relax. There are plenty of things to do on site and the Hill Country has many more unique things to offer. We're situated just 4 miles from Reveille Peak Ranch, 10 miles from the Vanishing Texas River Cruise, and a short drive to wineries, boat rentals, and much more.

Oh my, where to begin! My group of 11 gal pals rented this awesome house (main house) and we couldn't have been happier! It's the PERFECT setting! You've got so much room, lots of beds, lots of space, and the master suite was incredible! To wake up to that view was breathtaking! The pool slide was so much fun, (for any age). If you want to have the perfect getaway, rent this from Sherry (she's awesome too). It would be so special for any occasion.

My extended family of 25 rented the 3 houses of Sunset Cliff Escape for a 5 day family reunion in July and we could not have been more pleased. The houses are fabulous and the setup and layout are perfect for families who want to intermingle and reconnect. Which is not to say it is crowded. It is far from it. it is SPACIOUS. The pictures on the website and Facebook are a true depiction of what you will experience (if not much more).We had a full itinerary planned to visit the surrounding area and frankly altered our plans often because we found we really didn't want to leave the house. The owner was very accommodating and great to work with. We are already making plans to return next year. I highly recommend this place!!

The best vacation EVER!!! My family and I take vacations once a year and staying at the Sunset Cliff Escape has been the best one yet. Sherry, the owner, is very friendly and always available. The home is perfect. It has everything you could possibly need. Just bring yourself and food. Any pots, pans, utensils, etc. are supplied. Tons of sheets and towels are already at the home. The grounds are amazing. The pool, the lake, the patios, there is a great view from every location. I think the pool slide was my favorite part. We played like big kids the entire weekend. The home is huge! I have a huge, crazy family and it afforded everyone their own personal space. We were able to go to the owner's equestrain facility for great tour. Everyone that we've shown the pictures to and told about the vacation wants to be invited on the next vacation to the house. As the other reviewers have stated, our only regret is that we were only there for a weekend.

Most Amazing, Unique, Beautiful Texas Wedding Venue

Sunset Cliff Escape was the best part of our whole wedding (besides getting married!). Both me and my husband are from out of state, so when planning our wedding we wanted to show all our family traveling from far the most beautiful side of Texas (with a lot of water options to help with the Texas heat).

The estate was large enough for both our families and extended families. We were able to cook and serve between 50-70 people the whole weekend with the huge kitchen, ample refrigerators, and great outdoor grilling area.

With tons of kids, the pool was PERFECT. Everywhere there were kids and adults laughing and having fun. The waterslide was a HUGE hit — with both the adults and children.

If our guests needed a break from the crazy, exciting energy around the pool, they were able to enjoy swimming and relaxing next to the lake. And as the sun was setting, every single person came outside and observed the most beautiful sunset ever. No matter where you were on property, this sunset offered million-dollar picture opportunities.

Besides being a simply amazing property, with the most helpful owner and staff, Sunset Cliff was the PERFECT venue for our wedding. My husband and I wanted a fun, beautiful, non-traditional wedding. While the estate needs no additional decorations, with a small amount of flowers, a live band, an amazing BBQ caterer in town, and some fun ‘personal’ touches, Sunset Cliff was PERFECT. Sherry was very flexible with our needs and accommodating to our requests. We even had a HUGE firework show at the end of the night! I suggest Sunset Cliff for anyone looking for a unique, beautiful Texas wedding site. All of our guests are raving, ‘best wedding they’ve ever been to’.

PS. The master bedroom and bathroom are AMAZING. Waking up every morning to walk outside onto the patio with my coffee and watch the relaxing, beautiful lake provided me the perfect amount of privacy and tranquility with the crazy, fun weekend.

Wedding Bliss

My husband and I stayed here once in Jan (before we were married) and we feel in love so much with property and the owner we decided to have our wedding there. We rented out the entire property and invited our family and friends to spend the weekend with us, and it was wonderful! We had our closest loved ones under 3 roofs. That Friday we cooked out on the grills on the property. We ate together...some ate on the patio tables looking out to the lake, some ate on the patio tables looking over the property and pool, and others ate inside this beautiful home. Afterwards some took a walk on this private lake, other swim, or played air hockey, and most of our guest watched movies in the movie theater. I had a small party(bf my wedding with the girls) inside the master suite which has a balcony that looks out over everything. That Saturday, the day of the wedding, was beautiful. We didn't need to bring much to decorate because Sunset cliff is already beautiful. We did bring some garland, and a few flowers, and of course our pictures and sign in book. We also had music on our ipod for the wedding, and they have a sound system so we didn't have to rent speakers. We were married on the main property near the pool, under the arch. Everything was nice and intimate, and the greatest thing to me about Sunset Cliff is how peaceful it is. After the wedding we took advantage of all the different landscapes available to take our pictures!! We danced, ate, and relaxed and really enjoyed each other. The owner Sherry was very helpful with us during the weeks leading up to the day, she was always willing to help us and eager to answer any questions...she even gave us a wedding gift :) This is now me and my husband's best getaway!
