We are very pleased Bonnie, and the family, thoroughly enjoyed the house. As guests, they were thoughtful and the house was left in perfect condition. They are most welcome to come again, anytime. Thank you for the kind words, Bonnie.
My wife and I were very happy with the home and especially the property. The view from the balcony is exactly what you want when staying in the Catskills. It is an older home but kept clean and tidy. It has all the amenities you need to feel at home and the spring water is great. Fireplace worked amazing and he owners keep a lot of really good burning wood on site. My wife and I will stay here again.
Not a complaint, just a note. The driveway is a little hard to find from the road to begin with but gave the feeling of being secluded and in a natural beautiful environment. We loved it.
My family(hubby and daughter) and i spent July 4th weekend at La Bella Vista. We had a great time at the house, the grounds, the kitchen, the bedrooms are exactly as depicted in the pictures. The house is very cozy and we felt right at home, there was ample towels and linens available. The only drawback was the cable, we stayed while the World Cup was being played in Brazil and could not watch ESPN which is basic cable. We improvised with our laptops but it would have been even better if we had basic cable signal. Having the wifi listed in the house is a nice to have option, we had to email to get the password. Emailing wasn't painful its just a nice to have around the house just in case their is a problem with signal via cell phone..
Overall our stay was fantastic, the home owner was on call via text and email love the quaint town, we went jogging a few times...a nice place to unwind from NYC.
Stayed two glorious weeks at La Bella Vista, just me and my dog, with family visiting for long weekends. We loved the grounds--from the wildflower-edged road to the enormous tree rimmed garden. The house itself is lovely and the two floors have two completely different moods--the downstairs has a more cozy ski lodge feeling, and the upstairs is white and filled with light from the big windows. Two good sized bedrooms upstairs with very comfortable king beds in each (one has 1/2 bath, the full bath is upstairs also). We appreciated having real cooking utensils, good pots and nice plates etc.-- so many rentals seem to have garage sale finds. The house could use some minor maintenance--e.g.-some windows didn't work well (the same in our own house), but nothing that detracted from our stay. Bonfire pit in the yard was great for s'mores, gas grill, hammock--even an old bike in the shed that I used for many rides around Windham. Linda and her husband, Paul, were very helpful by phone and e mail, and for the price it's excellent value. Wonderful memories!
We've been renting La Bella Vista for several years. It is the best house, location, and most importantly best owners. The house is in a central location close to everything. The views of Windham Mountain are amazing. The property is great for all, those who want to explore the woods or those who just want to sit around the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the views. Every year I returned to the house - it was clean and ready for guests. The house is very cozy and kid friendly. The owners are the best, extremely accommodating, and the sweetest I've ever met. This property has it all, I recommend it to everyone
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our daughter was able to pick black berries and play freely in the yard. The large private yard is quiet and calm, hummingbirds, deer, turkey, rabbits all joined us each day. Wonderful, helpful owners, they made sure our stay went smoothly. Clean home with everything you would need to enjoy yourself. Thank you!
This home was beautiful and landlords are wonderful people. My husband and I spent 6 months in this home and enjoyed every minute there. We are snowbirds and go to Florida every winter.
This home is very comfortable and private. Our grandchildren were able to visit us and we had a campfire and soceer game in the big lawn.
The nearby town is so friendly and was restored after that year flood.
I recommend this home to anyone looking for a secluded beautiful home. We would rent this home every summer, if we go to Windham.
Thank you Linda and Paul for making our stay so wonderful.
