Stone Lodge

  • 5 of 5
This is a very nicely restored lodge. It retains the character of its historical past yet has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

The living room is a comfortable gathering place with old stone columns, high ceiling, and a massive fireplace. Although there are no photos of the kitchen in the listing, we found it to be modern, well equipped and stocked with paper products, spices and other supplies. Each bedroom has a bathroom and comfortable beds, including a crib. The exterior is nicely landscaped and has a large deck with a gas grill.

The location is convenient - close to Kaaterskill Falls and many stores and restaurants in Tannersville less than two miles away. The Mountaintop Arboretum right near the property is worth a visit.

We will book this property again and have already recommended it to others.

Charming,cozy yet spacious.

This is our second time renting this property. It's a charming, historic home accented with beautiful stone work both in and out. Although it's a 2 bedroom "cottage", the rooms are spacious and not cramped. The high ceiling in the living room also creates a more airy feel. Everything is very clean and well-decorated. There is access to an expansive deck right from the nicely equipped kitchen and living room. We spend a good amount of time on the deck with ample room for a group or family. The nature views are phenomenal! There is so much to do here in all seasons to relax and unwind outdoors, while enjoying the natural beauty of the mountains. We will be back!

Amazing Getaway

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed here six times in the last three years and every time we leave I can't wait to get back. We've stayed twice during the ski season and this place is so charming in the snow. the large stone fireplace is very inviting and sits in a great room with plenty of space for the whole group/family and warms the whole house. The upstairs is a great room and with it's own bathroom allows all occupants their own space. During the spring/summer months, we spend all day out on the deck with the BBQ going and soaking up the sun. The house is exceptionally well kept and every time we stay there, they have updated or improved something else. The house has everything that you need and the town is so close and quaint and you can get everything else you could possibly want.

If you're looking for a great place to just get away from it all but still have everything you need, this is the place...

We love it here

  • 5 of 5
We have rented this house several times over the last few years. After our first time we decided that we would stay here whenever we came back. Our initial trip was a ski weekend but we came back in the spring and also for the fall foliage season. Each time we found the property to be well maintained, cleaned, and had everything we needed during our stay. It seems the owner is very attentive and has been making upgrades and improvements regularly because each time we go there is something new and we never felt anything was missing as we sometimes do in rentals. Even all the matching knives in the block were there with steak knives too!. We have never found that at any rental. We usually get a fork, a spoon and if we are lucky a dull bread knife. They definitely make sure the guests have everything they need. For ski trips its great because of the location. The house is perfectly situated to get to the mountain easily and also to the town for "après ski" the restaurants and shops are at the bottom of the road. Its close enough that we were able to walk into town and back one evening. During other seasons the golf course, lake, and grounds that are part of the community are beautiful and all within walking distance. Its a private development so we don't have to worry about the kids on unsafe roads going to the lake or taking a walk. The whole family love it. The kids bedroom is far enough away that we have privacy in our own room which we can completely close off and still have our own bathroom. We stayed with another couple once and it was perfectly fine. We didn't run into each other at all. The house has everything for a family or group to stay a weekend or a week. We will definitely be returning again. Couldn't ask for more.
