Casa Brisas Del Mar is a very comfortable, private, and secure family home located within steps of the beaches of Barra de Navidad, and only a 5 minute walk to the attractions of the town's plaza, markets, and malecon. The casa sleeps six people in 3 bright and airy bedrooms; each with ceiling fans, bathroom, and direct access to outdoors. Meet with the others of your party on the poolside patio and terraza or enjoy the solitude and sea breezes of your own private balcony. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms of the upper floor. The full kitchen and spacious comedor are well equipped and furnished for the cooking and dining needs of a group or family of six. The casa has a security safe for valuables. Your vehicle is parked safely off-street behind locking gates.

Barra de Navidad is the perfect beach town for vacationers or retired snowbirds. The airports of Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo are easily reached by scheduled luxury bus or taxi. Sports such as surfing, skim boarding and kayaking are handy to the casa, or take the lancha across the lagoon for lunch and a round of golf at the Grand Hotel. With a rental car one can easily shop in Manzanillo or visit the colonial centers of Colima and Comala, or take the first class bus to spend a few days enjoying the handicraft shops of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque and the beautiful historical centre of Guadalajara.

About The Owner

A family of teachers and students, the Spring Break holiday has long been the highlight of our year. Dan has been retired for 3 years, during which time he has been studying Spanish and travelling widely through Mexico and Central America. Barb is counting the days until she can join him in retirement.

Why The Owner chose Barra de Navidad

As a family we had been renting vacation condos on the coast of Nayarit and Jalisco for 10 years. We wanted the convenience of flying into PV, but didn't want the pace of the city. Even Sayulita had become too crowded and busy for carefree family holidays. Then we found Barra which offerred all the amenities of beach towns without the bustle

What makes this house unique

Casa Brisas del Mar is well located within walking distance of the restaurants and the malecon and is only steps away from the beach access. Walk the beach to Melaque for your morning coffee; or make your own to drink in the privacy of your balcony or the poolside terraza.

Ideal Vacation Home

I stayed for several weeks in Casa Brisas Del Mar with a group made up of family and close friends: it was ideal accomodation for us. Barra is a very clean and orderly little town, without the dust and noise of other beach towns. It was great to have such a good selection of restaurants and entertainment so close by; yet we didn't have to put up with the night noise of other holidayers. There was lots to see and do both in both the town and the area. We saw a group of dolphins on our walk down the beach for breakfast in Melaque. We took the bus up to see the crocodile reserve and have lunch on the beach at La Manzanilla. We enjoyed the security of having off-street parking when we rented a car to visit friends in Colima.
The house itself is very spacious and comfortable for our group of 5, well equipped, well maintained, and very nicely decorated. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The private outdoor areas for eating and lounging in sun or shade really appealed to me, as did the sound of the surf at night. I hope to visit Barra de Navidad and stay here again soon.

Owner's Response: I'm glad that you discovered some of the interesting things there are to do in this area, many of which are accessible by bus. There is also a tour company in town that arranges adventure, culture, and shopping tours to other towns and cities.

Perfect Barra de Navidad Rental!

After a busy business year it was time for us to reconnect. We couldn't have chosen a better location. As the owner promised, the casa was located in a quite area, away from the "busy" part of Barra, but only a short walk to be in the middle of it all for shopping or a cold draft at Hector's. The home is well appointed, and has plenty of room for up to 6 people. It's really easy to find a quiet corner to get lost in a book. As others have said, the booking procedure was seamless, and the owner is absolutely great to deal with.....thanks D. If you have never been to the Barra/Melaque area, it is a wonderful area to explore and a great contrast to the busier areas like Puerto Vallarta. The next time we choose to visit Barra, Casa Brisas del Mar will be at the top of our list for accomodations. Oh, one item for the wish list. We ran across one of our newly made friends in town, and she had purchased a beautiful piece of fresh dorado (only 30 pesos!). It made me think that a grill/barbeque would be an excellent item to add mmmm grilled shrimp.

We spent two weeks at this property and enjoyed it very much. The house is nicely located to town in a quiet residential neighborhood that is within a short walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. The home was very well appointed and clean with everything you require for a comfortable stay. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the area.

Most incredible vacation ever

We had the most wonderfull time at the house, it is beautifull, practical, all you may need, good beds, pillows, towels, sheets, nice walk to town, close to store, safe area, good size pool, what else can I say!!!. My husband and son went fishing and got a sail fish of about 95 lbs, eat ceviche and fish for 4 days. Next day some of us went on the boat again went to Tamarindo resort, incredible snorking and beach, on our way back we saw 2 gray whales gave us a show, INCREDIBLE!! plus we saw a couple of sea turtles and we got to touch them. My husbands relatives can not stop talking about it, specially his brother-in law that is quadripalegic, he did not get to go on the boat with us, but he enjoyed everything else. There is other beaches to visit with in a short drive, they are great. Will for sure rent again

A great holiday spot

Our family stayed at Casa Brisas Del Mar in Barra de Navidad this March. It was a great house for our family and we enjoyed every moment there. There was plenty of room for everyone with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Although we had air conditioning available, the ceiling fans were ample for keeping the rooms cool generating a comfortable breeze. The pool, a highlight for the family was a nice size to accommodate all 5 of us. For all of the amenities, the casa was priced very reasonably and the booking process was seamless.
The yard was very secure and we didn’t need to worry about security. The location of the casa was great within a short walk to the centre of town. The beach was very accessible and was a 5 minute walk. The locals around town were all very friendly and happy to help out when our Spanish failed.
All in all, we had a great holiday and we would definitely stay at Casa Brisas Del Mar on our next trip to Barra de Navidad.
For great food and a view, try the fish at Isadora’s and for a fun time try the margaritas while listening to live music at Lucy’s.
