We own a dairy farm that generates 1.4 megawatts of power from cow manure and organic waste in digesters and that power is sold to WI Public Service and is used in this vacation rental.

We also own a waste company that we started 20 years ago complete with a treatment facility for total recycling of wastewater.

As if we didnt have enough to do we have a large hydroponics system that were growing lettuce, tomatoes, and basil, with the nutrient water from tilapia that are in large tanks.

When were not working we enjoy boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling,

wakeboarding, snowboarding, fishing, paddleboarding, relaxing,

and messing around with hot rods.

Work hard, play hard, thats our motto!

Troy Temme purchased this house in 2007

We love this area! Troy grew up here on Riley's Bay and we have so many great friends here and so many things to do that sometimes we have to go back to work to relax !

Everything that Door County has to offer is within a few miles.

Wildlife galore, world class fishing, plenty of firewood supplied for your campfire, gas station/convenience store/bait shop/ laundry mat 1.25 miles away.

Family Summer Vacation 2013 (Full House)

  • 5 of 5
The house we (2 families with 5 children 4-8 years old) stayed in was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Very nice decorations, great outside view and landscaping, beautiful fire pit and a place to fish. We enjoyed our 4 night stay very much. We recommend this house for summer trips and will definitely come back some day.

Loved Little Sturgeon Bay!!

  • 5 of 5
We recently stayed at this property during a Cabela's National Walleye Tour Tournament out of Sturgeon Bay, WI and loved the accommodations! Nice and clean, well kept, fantastic having a kitchen and grill to do our cooking, comfy couches and satellite TV to relax. Its a short little drive into the town of Sturgeon Bay where there is plenty of things to do. This was my first time using Vacation Rental By Owner and the process was very smooth and will be using it again for sure.

Nice Vacation House

  • 4 of 5
My family had a wonderful vacation in Sturgeon Bay. The house is roomy, clean and comfortable. The decor is very nice with personal touches from Troy. We enjoyed our stay. Little Sturgeon Bay is farther from the town than we had realized. It would be helpful to have a washer/dryer in the house as well as wifi. We enjoyed using the fire pit, but the BBQ grill was less appealing. The house is as described and will not disappoint. Thanks Troy!

Relaxing, Well Designed, Clean Home

  • 5 of 5
Our family carved out a few days in the middle of a hot summer to head up to Door Country and enjoy the outdoors, especially the water. The home we chose was a renovated summer home on an inlet with access to Green Bay (Lake Michigan). We didn't have a boat, so we couldn't take advantage of that, but we did have fun tossing in a few fishing lines and catching some catfish at night. The inside design had vaulted ceilings, stylish kitchen, ceiling fan, living area with flatscreen TV. The bedrooms were a little sparse - beds only upstairs - but we spent most of the time in the kitchen anyway. It was all very clean and tidy. There is no laundry or internet, and cell service was very spotty, so you may need to make arrangements for that. The location is south of Sturgeon Bay, to the extent it was very rural. Sturgeon Bay downtown / restaurants are about 15 minutes away. There was a Citgo / convenience store about 5 minutes away that has WiFi (even a tiny table or 2 near coffee to work a bit) and about anything you'll need from pizza to live bait, to wine.
We used the grill to make burgers one night, fished from the pier, took a bike ride through nearby Potowatomee State Park, drove up to Fish Creek for a Fish Boil (40 minutes), took the Fireboat ride in Sturgeon Bay, and went swimming off a public beach. Sturgeon Bay has a number of places to eat and enough activities to keep everyone happy for a week, especially since northern Door County is so close.
The home owners, Troy and Gail, were kind enough to meet us in person upon arrival and make recommendations and give us some local tips.
