Daytona Beach House Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom, 1.5 baths, sleeps 8, close to beach and bike week activities
This is our family vacation home. We have lovingly furnished the home to make it feel like our home, not a hotel. It is our desire that our guests feel at home here as well.
The house has paintings of Florida landscapes, painted by Roxanne Tobasian, a Tampa native. Personal pictures and images of historic Daytona events can be found throughout the home.
The house is a two story home, with all 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV. Iron, ironing boards, and blow dryers are in each room. Beach towels, and a large travel/beach blanket are provided for each room.
The bedrooms share a common bathroom equipped with a walk in shower and double sink vanity.
The first floor has a comfortable living room with a large flat screen TV and DVD player. Books providing information on Florida's history, natural resources, and outdoor activities can be found throughout the living room.
The dining area seats 6 adults. The built-in cabinet was part of the original 1920's building, and was refinished when the house was refurbished in 2011. Board games, cards, and DVDs are located in the beautiful dining room cabinet. A few children's books and coloring supplies are also provided.
The kitchen features updated cabinets and appliances. The kitchen is modestly equipped with cooking/baking necessities.

About Christy Gregg
I was born in Orlando, and spent much of my first year on Daytona Beach. Even though my family moved shortly after I turned 1, I have always loved Florida beaches.
I now live in Northern California with my husband Jamey. We love the Sierra Nevada mountains and the access to national forest. But for me, there was always a yearning to be near a beach.
Luckily, our youngest son had the opportunity to play several baseball tournaments in Florida. Those trips allowed me to introduce Jamey to the beautiful Florida beaches and the casual Florida lifestyle.
In addition to baseball, our love of motorcycling brought us to Daytona for several visits. Jamey and I are avid motorcyclists and in 2009, we made our first annual trek to Daytona for Bike Week. We were hooked, and we began our journey to find the prefect beach side home. Four years later, we found the perfect home for our family vacations.
Christy Gregg purchased this house in 2014
Why Christy Gregg chose Daytona Beach
Jamey and I knew the Barnacle House (nick named by the previous owner) was the perfect beach side vacation home for us. Just a few blocks from the boardwalk, one block north of Main Street, and one block east of Ocean Center and Peabody Auditorium, the house is in a great location. The building was originally a water house for the Halifax fire district, that was later converted to a residence. The house's exterior exudes 1920's charm, while the interior has been updated to include all the amenities of the 21st century.
What makes this house unique
The Barnacle House is the perfect vacation home for our family. The house features a fully fenced yard that provides privacy and security. The back yard accommodates an RV, with full hook-ups and easy drive through access. There is also an outside shower and covered patio table area.
