Our beautiful cabins (main with 3 bedrooms and bath, back with 2 bedrooms and bath) on the south shore of Hebgen Lake is a slice of heaven. From the spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding forests and mountains to the array of activities on the lake and the surrounding area, this is the perfect place for a family vacation or reunion, fishing trip, or a luxurious base for your Yellowstone experience. The cabin features a large great room with a fireplace, comfy sofas and chairs for 10, a table & chairs for card games or breakfast coffee, and satellite TV with DVD.
The large lot is made for groups. The deck features a hot tub, gas barbecue grill, a large outdoor dining table, a beverage refrigerator, and ample seating. We have a private boat ramp on the lake, a private dock, and a great sandy beach. We also have two 2-person kayaks for your use. Bring all your toys to fully enjoy the lake…fishing boat, ski boat, jet skis, water skis, and tubes.
Located on Stoddard Point Road, where the Madison River flows into Hebgen Lake. The fishing just off our point is great and can be accessed by our kayaks if you don’t bring your own boat. And within a short drive are some of the West’s top blue ribbon trout streams: Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone, and the famed Henry’s Fork of the Snake River in nearby in Island Park, Idaho, as well as Henry’s Lake. If you want to go farther afield, Big Sky Resort is just 50 miles away, Bozeman, Montana just 90 miles, and the great fishing town of Ennis, Montana, a mere 40 miles away. And of course, the entrance to Yellowstone National Park is just 10 miles away. You can spend the day touring the park and return to this fabulous retreat at the end of the day.
We are only able to rent for a few weeks of each year. We have 1 more week available in 2015 and 2 more weeks available in 2016.
We had a wonderful week! The two cabins are spacious, comfortable, and so well appointed -- everything we needed for a fun family reunion. The private dock became our outdoor living room and the gently sloping beach was a great place for our toddlers to play in the water. Though it's slow-going getting to the cabin on the dirt roads (especially when pulling a boat), the location is great for walking, running, and biking as it's not right on the highway. Our family all commented that it was one of our best reunions in 40 years.
Everything about our stay in Hebgen Lake was wonderful because of this amazing property. Our family stayed for a week during June of 2014. There were 8 adults and 5 children who comfortable fit and enjoyed everything about this location. The kids loved playing in the lake and then warming up in the hot tub. The kayaks were used everyday for exploring the lake and fishing just off the dock. We loved the game closet and pulled out most of them at night when the kids went to bed. Our family has vacationed in Yellowstone for the past 25 years and this is the first time we have not stayed inside the park, and it was wonderful. This cabin was everything it was describe to be by the owners -- and more! Thank you for a great week.
This cabin was perfect for our family of 13. There was so much to do for the entire family ranging from 4 to 70 years old. It was tempting to remain at the cabin all week instead of exploring Yellowstone. The kayaks and hot tub were the highlight for the teens. We saw some amazing sunsets.
The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped for cooking family dinners. Jeannie and Jerry were gracious and helpful hosts. We would definitely stay here again!
Our family of 12 just completed our stay at this Hebgen Lake cabin and found it to be exactly as represented in the listing. Between the two cabins everyone had the space needed for privacy and alone time. The beds were comfortable and the cabins had all the amenities we needed for our stay.. The main cabin had comfortable seating for everyone as well as ample seating for meals and games. This location on the lake was complete with beautiful views of snow-capped mountains in the distance. We caught 4 brown trout right off the dock, we grilled them on the gas grill and enjoyed the fresh meal immensely. The hot tub was a welcome treat to come back to after sightseeing and was big hit with everyone!
The cabin was only a short distance to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, The West Yellowstone Rodeo and the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park and only an hour and a half from either location of Montana Whitewater and Zipline, which we highly recommend. It is also only an hour away from Mesa Falls in Idaho which was breath taking. Some of us flew in to Bozeman airport Which is about 2 hours away but a beautiful drive. The town of West Yellowstone is just 10 miles away and had great restaurants, groceries, gasoline, shopping, a little live theater, museums and casinos. Mountains and beautiful views everywhere you look as well as abundant wildlife in this part of the country.
The owners and their neighbors were delightful and very helpful with their knowledge of the area and anything else we needed. We had so many activities planned, however, that we didn't get to take full advantage of what the lake had to offer.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this rental to anyone who wanted just a quite stay in a beautiful location as well as a base camp for exploring this part of the world.
Wonderful location for visiting Yellowstone, Fly fishing on Hebgen Lake and Madison River, and also only ten minutes to the town of West Yellowstone for groceries, restaurants, and fishing supplies. Brought boat & was able to launch on the private boat launch & dock. Photos and description very accurate. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Owner always available for questions before stay and during our stay. We had three family couples which included four children. The games, puzzles, Kayaks, and fishing with worms off the pier at night, which yielded several 18 inch brown trout, kept them happy and busy. We would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives, and considering renting it again....!!
Had a great time. Loved the cabin and the spectacular views. We also enjoyed the kayaks and the hottub. The large living room was great for our family so we could all be together in the evenings. The pictures very accurately describe the cabin and it was very clean and well maintained. The owner's were wonderful and answered all our questions and we would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends.
