Welcome to "The Little Easy"! This 100-year-old stone cottage bursts with charm, and offers easy access to downtown Denver (10 mins) and front range mountains (20 mins).

Our home is ideal for families, couples, girls' trips, remote work (2 workspaces and fiber internet!) - and anyone looking for cottage charm with city convenience!

The house is just a 3-min walk to the lightrail, which serves key spots like the Airport, Union Station, Golden, and the double decker ski train to Winter Park. And, you're next to a series of walking/biking trails that wind through Denver's parks!

The Property:
This is a 3 bed/2 bath stone cottage, with 1600' sq ft of usable space and a large fenced backyard, plus plenty of free parking.

Guests have access to:
- a fully equipped kitchen (w/ functioning vintage gas stove & oven)
- a spacious dining/living room (w/ projector for movie nights)
- 2 distinct workspaces designed for remote work (w/ fiber internet and extra monitors)
- an indoor workout space (w/ elliptical, erg, and roku TV)
- a large, fully fenced backyard (and a native pollinator garden in the works!)
- many fun, unexpected spaces and tons of character!

Main level:
- 1 bedroom (w/ canopy bed)
- 1 bedroom (w/ adorable twin bed and mountain views)
- 1 full hall bathroom

Walk-in Basement:
- 1 bedroom (w/ windows and lots of privacy)
- 1 full bathrooms (w/ tub)

The cottage is heated and stays quite cozy in winter. It is worth noting that there is no air conditioning; however, the stone structure and large windows make it quite comfortable on even the hottest summer days.

As such, I am available in person in case of emergencies, but otherwise will not invade the privacy of your visit.

Great Location!!
Great spot and close to less than 10 minutes away from downtown. Just a few blocks walk to light rail as well. Ashton is a great and probably the best host I have booked through. Very quick to respond if I had a question. Even though they are updating a bit, it it is still a great place with lots of historical charm! Will stay again if we need a place to stay in Denver! Thanks so much Ashton!

My first experience hosting was in Destin, Florida where I lived in my early 20's. That was about 10 years ago, and since then I've renovated and hosted a cornucopia of properties, from beachside bungalows to vintage campers. As a recent transplant to Colorado, I love experimenting with a personalized take on a "mountain cottage"!

Why they chose this property

At first glance, this neighborhood may not impress. It's old, and many of the homes (and people in them) walk a fine line between charming and tired. However, it carries a deep, community-centered culture that is SO HARD to find in a city full of transplants like myself. The neighbors know each other. They share stories. Those who can afford it put amazing work into beautifying their homes, and who can't afford it enjoy 360 beautiful hill-top views of downtown Denver and sunsets over the Rockies instead.

In my opinion, this location is extremely underrated, but won't be for long. Couples and small families are fixing up the cottages here, appreciating the walkability to 4 or 5 nearby parks and the Denver trail system, the super-easy lightrail access to Downtown Denver and Golden, the abundance of incredible food options, and all of the more luxurious amenities built for the nearby Sloan's Lake neighborhood.

This area is a diamond (even if it's still a little 'in the rough'), and I can't wait to share it with you.

What makes this property unique

There's not a touch of 'Millenial Gray'.

Respectfully, there's nothing wrong with neutrals - but my opinion is when you're traveling, it's fun to experience something different from what you get at home! Enter, "The Little Easy".

This cottage is a total labor of love - an outlet for my artistic side, an experiment in interior design, and an effort to transport guests into a world of imagination. In summer its pollinator garden explodes with wildflowers; in winter it lends views of a city blanketed in snow, ending in snow-capped peaks.

Finally, the cottage is in an absurdly convenient location (described elsewhere in this listing), but this is also a place where you can come, stay awhile, never leave the house, and be completely content.
