Lovely setting, shame about the accommodation!

After having lots of e mails and phone calls back and forth from Val, we felt really confident that this villa would be excellent for our requirements. Our family of 16, 8 adults and 8 kids, 3 of whom are 15+ really struggled to enjoy true home comforts. The downstairs office/bedroom was totally unsuitable for a comfortable night's sleep, as the ac was very erratic, and the sounds echoing from the lounge meant it was not suitable for the younger kids. Two adults tried it the first night - the bed was far too small for them, and the curtain/divider kept flapping about, disturbing sleep. Upstairs the ac was either too cold or too hot, and this difference could be between two adjacent rooms! It was so difficult to regulate. The kitchen crockery needs replacing, as the plates are definitely showing signs of wear. When we arrived there were very few plastic cups for using outside, and no wine glasses. After contacting Val, she quickly brought supplies, but although we had said we would be outside at the pool area, she did not let us know she had visited, so we did not get a chance to discuss other issues with her. Quite honestly we had a lovely week at the villa, but felt we had to " make do " with the accommodation, it was a squeeze, two of the girls actually slept in a cupboard/ walk in wardrobe, although we had informed Val of the kid's ages before we decided on this villa. She had assured us there would be plenty of room for us all. Much of the villa is tired, and needs attention in order to be suitable for a maximum of 14 in future. Pool area was spacious and pleasant with ample furniture, so our time spent out doors was the most enjoyable.
