High on a hill, overlooking a beautiful Spanish fort, Casita Nirvana
is a charming three room house, with two bathrooms, a roof deck, car port and an outdoor shower. The main room is a fully equipped
kitchen/dining room, accommodating 4 or 5 people easily. The back
bedroom has a queen sized bed with a half bath at one end. The front
room/sitting room doubles as a second bedroom with a trundle bed which
when open sleeps two. The outdoor shower looks towards mountains,
perfect for a sunset shower upon returning from an afternoon at a
nearby beach. The house easily serves a family of 4 or two couples.
Enjoy dawn on the roof and beautiful sunsets. The rooftop deck has comfortable furniture and
overlooks the main island of Puerto Rico and Culebra. A short walk to
town, there is easy access to restaurants, shops and services. We have
a 'pack'n'play,' booster seat, and children's beach toys to make it
easy to travel with your young ones. We also have beach chairs for
the rest of the family and assorted goggles and snorkels for use at
the beach. The kitchen is well furnished and fun to cook in. Finish
cooking and carry a tray up to the roof for rooftop meals. The view
doesn't get better!
Relax, enjoy the sounds of the coquis and the roosters and living in a
friendly neighborhood of Viequenses and North Americans. Warm breezes
and warm smiles! Sunny days and comfortable nights. Both bedrooms
have air conditioners for comfortable sleeping if you are planning a
summer time trip. Come in any season! In the summer the beaches are
your own! Welcome to Vieques!
We are professors from Massachusetts, one of us teaching literature and history, the other teaching dance. We found Vieques in 2000 and have loved it ever since.
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Casita Nirvana found us! We had been on Vieques for several years when friends in this neighborhood told her they knew of a small brand new house for sale. It was meant to be!
We love the location, the warmth of the neighborhood with its mix of local family life and North American owners, not to mention the roosters, dogs and horses. High on the hill, the trade winds keep the house comfortable year round.
