Unit 9 is a luxury three bedroom villa that occupies the whole of the ground floor of a standalone building in the Del Pacifico Resort.
From the moment you arrive at Del Pacifico at Esterillos, you will find a place unlike any other in Costa Rica.
Set in the midst of the grandeur of the Costa Rican rain forest and the exotic palm coast of the Pacific Ocean, Del Pacifico at Esterillos offers the best of both of these settings. Del Pacifico is a village by the sea – a private place to relax, recharge and reflect. A master-planned community meticulously designed by internationally renowned architects and woven into the very fabric of Costa Rica’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
Del Pacifico is ideally located midway between the popular beach resort of Jaco Beach and the world famous Manuel Antonio National Park. With the opening of the new highway in 2010, it is now less than 2 hours to drive by car from the International Airport at San Jose.
Unit 9 is a spacious and luxurious condominium, comprised of over 2000 square feet of living space. There are two bedrooms with king size beds, each with their own en suite bathroom and a third bedroom with twin beds. The third bathroom services as both the bathroom for the twin bedroom and the powder room for the living area. The condominium is decorated in a open modern style featuring original works of art by renowned Costa Rican Artist Felix Murillo.
With granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances throughout, the galley kitchen has all the amenities you will need to cook a wonderful gourmet meal.
The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a breakfast bar.
The dining and living areas are spacious and interconnected, the living area being demarked by beautiful teak flooring which contrasts with the Italian tile flooring prevelent throughout the rest of the condominium. The low rise seating area in the living room is perfect for conversation. relaxing or taking an afternoon siesta.
Floor to ceiling glass double doors from the living area open up onto the sheltered dining patio, secluded, but just a stone’s throw from the communal pool complex. Indeed the close proximity of the condominium to the pool complex is a great feature, whether you have a young family, where the kids can swim safely with the adults in close proximity or whether you are a group of adults who enjoy an evening swim in the floodlit pool without straying too far from your mojitos!
The pool complex comprises a large free form swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a paddling pool for the children and a large lanai. Due to the low population density of the development, it would not be unusual if your group had the pool complex all to yourselves for the majority of your stay.
Four hours of maid service is included in each weekly rental. Additional maid service can be provided.
Del Pacifico is situated next to one of the most spectacular beaches in all of Costa Rica and truly one of the special places on this planet. The beach stretches for miles. The surf is always spectacular. Spectacular surf on one side, palm fringed beach on the other. Truly paradise found. One can walk for hours and pass only a handful of people. If you wade across the shallow stream to the south, you will likely have a 3km beach all to yourself, save that is for the pelicans, wading birds running in and out of the surf or perhaps a sloth moving through the branches in one of the trees at the edge of the beach.
Another way to enjoy the beach is to sign up for a sunset gallop. Del Pacifico has a stable of horses free for the use of the owners and their guests. A favourite trek is to head into the rain forest at around 3pm, loop up onto the hills for magnificent views of the ocean before heading down to the beach for sunset.
The beach adjacent to the Del Pacifico Resort is called Playa Bejuco and faces due south. The ocean is spectacular.
Our favourite time on the beach is early morning and late afternoon. It’s a 30 minute stroll from Playa Bejuco to Del Pacifico’s sister hotel Alma del Pacifico. There is nothing nicer than taking a stroll up to the beach for breakfast at Alma del Pacifico in the open air restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Alma del Pacifico also has a fantastic spa offering an extensive menu of Costa Rican spa treatments combining professional, personal care and a beautiful seaside setting, which creates an experience of peace, wellness and rejuvenation.
