This is a gorgeous terracotta roofed villa built in traditional style, with stunning panoramic views over the sea on a hill near Port Nicolas on the North East tip of Zakynthos. Sleeping 8, this lovely family villa with private pool and sun patio is surrounded by olive groves and near the blue grotto. Zakynthos is a gorgeous Ionian Island just South of Corfu and Kefalonica; 3 hours by air from England. Homer mentioned Zakynthos in 'The Iliad' as part of Odysseus' travels. The villa is 5 minutes drive from Club Peligoni, a water sport haven for dingy sailors, walkers and painters. The local village is 5 minutes drive away and the beaches nearby are sandy and quiet with super Taverns. The airport is 40 minutes drive from the villa. Charter flights from Europe arrive mainly on Thursdays and Sundays. A wonderful place to visit in June, September and October when it is less crowded, still warm sunshine and lovely for walking. Plus a 1 bedroom cabin to rent. Free to rent all year round,

Zakynthos is a gorgeous Ionian Island just South of Corfu and Kefalonica; 3 hours by air from England. Homer's Hideway is on the North Eastern tip near Port Nicolas. The villa is 5 minutes drive from Club Peligoni, a water sport haven for dingy sailors, walkers and painters. The port of St Nicholas is 5 minutes in the car with wonderful restaurants and great boat trips to the ship wreak, blue caves and trips to other islands, including Kefalonia. You can also hire boats and go on fishing trips from here too. The local village is 5 minutes drive away and the beaches nearby are sandy and quiet with super Taverns. The airport is 40 minutes drive from the villa. Charter flights from Europe arrive mainly on Thursdays and Sundays. If you want some party fun then the bars and clubs are 30 minutes drive away in Laganas and Tsilivi.

Notes: The sitting room and dining room are open plan with lovely wooden beamed ceilings. There is a massive patio overlooking the sea. The cleaners come every 2/3 days to clean and make the beds. The poolman comes each day to clean the pool andthe gardeners come each day to water the plants. The cabin can be booked at the same time, so more than 1 family can rent the villa. It is not rented out to anyone else while you are there.

Club Peligoni: Many guests who stay at the villa join the sailing club, the Peligoni and enjoy the windsurfing, dingy sailing tuition, walking, tennis, painting classes and familiar atmosphere. A great place for teenagers to meet and give mums and dads a break! New swimming pool there.

Port Nicholas: At the port you can take wonderful boat trips to the ship wreak, blue caves and other islands such as Kefalonia. Great trips for the kids. You can also book fishing boats and other boats from here.

flying: Take a trip from the airport in a small sea plane and see the island from the air! A great way to see the whole island, great fun and well worth the cost of 180 euros per couple.

Other Activities: Club Peligoni is 5 minutes drive from the villa. Port Nicholas for boat trips.
