Our mountain retreat home is a “one of a kind” - with a unique layout incorporating 3 bedroom, 2 lofts, 2 full baths and has been totally remodeled. It has a open cabin /chalet feeling with skylights, woodpecker plank walls, beautiful stone wall gas fire place, radiant heat stone floors and fully modern custom cabinet kitchen with granite counter tops and stain less steel appliances.
There are two King beds (one in master bedroom and one in upper loft), 1 queen, in down stairs bedroom, 1 set of bunk beds in back bedroom and a single bed in the lower loft.
We have cable TV and high speed wireless internet throughout the house for those that just must have it (teens or dad/mom that must check in with work).
Our home has great sunny southern exposure on a half acre airy treed lot and backs up onto open forest green space. To fully enjoy the views we have a beautiful deck and large circular flag stone and stone walled patio with gas barbeque right out the back door.
Lastly, you will have full access to all the wonderful Tahoe Donner HOA amenities (1/2 – 2 miles from our home) for up to 8 guests including (Trout Creek recreation & fitness center, 3 heated pool and 4 large Jacuzzi’s, 16 court tennis club, two 18 hole golf courses, Donner Lake private beach club, equestrian center, down hill and cross country skiing hills and 160 miles of hiking trails). Additionally, our home is only a 15 minute drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar and Sugar Bowl Ski areas

I, Scott Darling, am a senior executive for the global real estate company Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). My primary client is Amgen the global Bio Pharma Company. I am JLL's Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) in charge our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) outsourcing contract with Amgen. I am responsible for leading 225+ JLL employees and over 1000 3rd party vendors in managing all Amgen's Research, Laboratory, Manufacturing, Headquarters and Office facility assets in Canada, US and Puerto Rico.
We are avid skiers and hikers. We have been coming to Lake Tahoe skiing for the past 20+ years and it has always been a dream to own our own little piece of Tahoe heaven. We selected our home for many reasons including:

• Being just a 3 hour drive from our home in SF and only 35 minutes from Reno airport
• Sunny southern exposure, mountain views and private forested setting
• Access to 4 world class ski resorts within 15 minutes including Squaw Valley, where we are season pass holders, but also North Star, Alpine Meadows and Sugar Bowl
Access to all Tahoe Donner HOA amenities within 1/2 - 2 miles from our home, yet our home 's lot/physical location is in a very private setting with an easy direct off road very slight grade driveway access (always important in winter) with our home backing up against forest greenbelt.
Additionally, we are only 4 miles from downtown Truckee with access to shopping centers and great restaurants.
