Directly On Sapphire Beach, Unit E308 offers Spectacular Views overlooking St.John and the British Virgin Islands. This spacious condo on two floors, both with balconies, provides comfort for a maximum of 6 guests. Both levels have comfortable sleeping space and full bathrooms. This Condo offers numerous Upgrades and Amenities including a Remodeled Kitchen, high quality King Mattress Set, foam Queen Sofa bed mattresses, two LCD, Flat-Screen TVs, Cable with Premium Channels, DVD Players with Movies, NETFLIX streaming video; Play Stations 2 and 3 with Games, a Computer with windows 7, Unlimited Wireless Internet, Bose Soundtouch Sysytem, Cordless Telephones, iPod Dock, Snorkel Gear, Beach Chairs, Beach Towels, Electric Grill and more. The property has a Marina, White Sand Beach, 2 Coral Reefs, and an Oceanfront Pool. This Ideal East End Location is less than a mile from Red Hook with Shopping, Restaurants, Harbor and Ferry Service. This is a non-smoking unit. Required minimum age of responsible guest is 25. A strong Security System is in place with lighting, cameras and personnel available 24 hours a day.

Our Condo is on the third and fourth floors in E building at the quiet end of the Beach convenient to the Marina. From this location, so close to the water, you have an unobstructed, panoramic View of the Sapphire blue Ocean and Colorful, ever-changing Skies. St. John and the British Virgin Islands form the backdrop and provide dots of sparkling lights at night. The boats coming in and out of the marina are beautiful and calming.

With its two floors, our condo offers comfort and flexibility for couples or families. Both levels have Cable TV with DVD Movies and Play Station Games, full bathrooms, ample sleeping and living space plus balconies with tables and seating. The Remodeled Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel Appliances, Cookware and Dinnerware. Food and Drinks can be enjoyed at the Indoor Table, at the Breakfast Bar, on the Balcony, or Poolside. For your Rest and Relaxation are a King size Bed upstairs (featuring a Therapedic Memory Foam Pillow Top Mattress) under a Cathedral Ceiling, and Queen size Sofa Beds (one on each level) with foam mattresses, memory foam toppers and hypo-allergenic covers. Quality linens add to their high Comfort level. Communication is made easy with a Computer, Wireless Internet with a dedicated Router, DSL line and cordless Telephones for local calls. Relax with Radio or CD music on a Bose Wave SoundTouch System.

You will appreciate this Beautiful Beach and Convenient Location. Snorkeling is great fun at the Coral Reef in crystal clear water right out in front of E Building. Snorkel Gear for six, in two sizes, all adjustable, is provided and is stored in this unit. The Dive In shop on the beach and has water sports equipment available for rental. Sapphire Beach has two active Reefs, a large Swimming area and a cascading, bi-level Pool. Seagrape trees, along the water's edge, provide shade for hours of relaxation while enjoying the sound of the waves and the gentle breezes. A food service on the beach offers Grilled Sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and early dinner plus a variety of frosty drinks. The Sapphire Bar & Grill, a full service restaurant and bar at Sapphire Village, is easily walkable from E Building.

Adjacent Sapphire Beach Marina offers Boating, Diving, Sailing and Fishing trips to meet all purposes of visitors. A token operated Laundry facility is conveniently located beside the marina. Less than a mile away is the village of Red Hook where you will find most anything you may want or need including the Ferry service (pedestrian and auto) to St. John and the British Virgin Islands. Colorful downtown Charlotte Amalie, the capital city, is a 25-minute drive and offers duty-free shopping. A 30-minute flight will take you to historic St. Croix.

St. Thomas’ temperatures hover around a pleasant 80 degrees all year. You can adjust your indoor temperature with thermostats on both levels and Central Air Conditioning/ Heat. Ceiling fans and ocean breezes add to the comfort of island living. The island topography is hilly and absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical foliage and ocean views from almost everywhere. St. Thomas has numerous attractions and activities including Mahogany Run Golf Course, Zip Lining, Hiking, Sky Ride, Snorkeling, Diving, and Coral World, with an open ocean Aquarium, Snuba Diving, Sea Trekking and Swimming with Sea Lions or Sea Turtles. No passport is needed by American citizens to visit the US Virgin Islands of St.Thomas, St.John or St.Croix. Bring one if you want to make side trips to the British Virgin Islands of Tortola, Jost van Dyke or Virgin Gorda.

About Mary Logue

My husband and I fell in love with the ocean when we moved from Minnesota to Miami upon graduating from University. We now enjoy our life in North Carolina between the mountains and the beach. We first vacationed as a family in St. Thomas at the suggestion of our son, Eric, who is certified in deep sea diving, in the spring of 1999. It was so incredibly beautiful and enjoyable that we purchased a villa at the lovely Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina. I have since retired from teaching art and my husband has retired to Professor Emeritus status at Duke Medical Center here in Durham, NC. Eric now has a Healthcare Consultant business and is living in Atlanta, GA, enjoying direct flights to STT. Our other son, Sean, a manager at IBM in NC, has joined in this wonderful experience. We all make regular trips to Sapphire Beach together and with friends. Last year, we celebrated the holiday season and our anniversary there and watched the fireworks being set off at St. John on New Year's Eve from our balcony. It remains the best get-away ever!

The rental property is located in one of the best location in St. Thomas, close to beach and ferry. Rooms are clean, and we can found out good value in every detail of this rental, highly recommend!

We returned to one of our favorite places to stay: Cheeseburger in Paradise! The condo is so relaxing and easy to settle in. We love sitting on the deck as the view is incredible and entertaining. We continue to enjoy each and every trip there and experience new and different activities. From all day sailing trips around the island to sitting in Charlotte Amalie Palm Passage outdoor bar to relaxing on Sapphire Beach. Looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed at Sapphire Beach for a long weekend and had an absolutely amazing time! The location was perfect and we found it extremely difficult to leave. The condo was exactly what we were looking for and the description on the website was 100% correct. The Condo was clean, provided towels, snorkel gear, comfortable sleeping arrangements, ect. Mary was extremely accomodating before and throughout our stay at her condo, which made the experience that much easier.

The views are beautiful from the condo and you are located near anything you could possibly want to do (shop, eat, boat, ferry to St. John). I highly recommend staying at this location and hope to come back soon! Thanks again Mary for letting us stay at your Condo!

The perfect location!

It sure was hard to leave this condo. All week, we kept saying, “we chose the best place, with the best view”. Absolutely amazing view! And only 5 minutes' drive or taxi to Red Hook's shopping, dining, and the ferry to St. John! It's not too far to walk, but I wouldn't recommend it at night because the road has no shoulders, sidewalks, or streetlights. (We rented a car from Discount Car Rental and were very pleased.)

Being next to the small, very attractive marina was fantastic. Besides watching the beautiful boats coming and going, there are numerous charter trips out of the, sightseeing, sailing,etc. We took the New Horizons/Breakaway cruise to the British Virgin Islands… had a really fun time and saw more incredible scenery. Beware, on the islands, rum is cheaper than the mixers, so they make the drinks strong...and dangerously delicious!

We snorkeled in 4 different places: 1) right out front, 2) off the larger Sapphire Beach, 3) Coki Beach, and 4) near Marina Cay on the NewHorizons/Breakaway cruise. While the coral wasn’t as pretty and the water wasn't quite as clear, we saw a wider variety, and more, fish right in front of the condo. Our daughter loved the cute trunk fish…which we didn’t see anywhere else.

One day, we took the 20 minute ferry to St. John and did a jitney sightseeing tour…very nice way to get an overview of that beautiful island. The ferry is $14 round trip. The tour was $25/person + tip. Lunch at High Tide and dinner at Rhumb Lines - excellent.

We want to thank you, Mary, for sharing your condo with us and for all you did to make our stay relaxing and comfortable…like supplying the paper products, the spices, Brita filter, coffees, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. …and of course the Cruzan and mixer! What a great surprise (and fun way to start off the vacation) that was! This was the best-outfitted accommodations we've ever experienced. The only complaint I can think of was the sleep sofa in the living room. It's attractive and great for sitting on, but like most older sleep sofas, it sagged when opened into a bed. It was fine for our daughter, but my wife and I would not have been able to sleep on it.

Whenever we can afford another Virgin Island vacation, we'll be staying here. Hopefully, when we return, the renovations to Sapphire Beach's pool bar and beach cabana will be completed.

Owner's Response: My family and I still find it hard to leave with every visit. There is something magical about looking out over that expanse of ocean and watching the ever changing skies. We, too, enjoy having the marina adjacent to E building for its beauty and available activities. You did the research, asked good questions, and made some smart choices that resulted in an enjoyable and memorable vacation. I was happy to provide support for this purpose. I recently purchased a new, thicker foam/gel mattress for the sofa bed that my husband and I slept on comfortably. I will have the supporting structure checked out. Beautiful condo, weather, and location!! Perfect Honeymoon trip!!

My wife and I were looking for a place to go on our honeymoon and came across Mary's listing. From the pictures it looked really good but upon arrival it was perfect! There were all the amenities in the unit that it made it feel like home...but with a much better view!!! Right on the beach with quick access to snorkeling to see the reefs (just a few steps into the sea), snorkeling gear that she graciously provides, and a full binder of local places to visit and some of the "short cuts" to make the vacation go smoothly. Though we didn't get to see much of the islands the notes in the binder helped greatly. Red Hook is a great place to grab a drink, a bite to eat, catch either the car or passenger ferries, and quick access to groceries. We recommend Moe's Market right in town to get items for meals as well as their well stocked liquor store. The bottle of wine and card that she and her husband left us was an extra special touch that never expected but was more than we could have asked for and greatly appreciated. The only thing you need to worry about when staying here is relaxing. Leave the worries at home. We want to come back to St. Thomas again to explore more (barely made a dent in all there is to see in 4 days) and when we do we'll definitely be staying at Mary's condo again!!
