Beautiful home, amazing view, wonderful stay

The property is, indeed, away from it all-- an amazing experience when you're subject to the continuous rush of city living. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to this spacious cabin; awesome woodwork throughout, an amazing river rock accent wall, and a very grand ceiling. Details really make the stay that much more excellent.

Additionally, the views directly off the grand room were breathtaking. The house is literally 20' away from the water (but sufficiently elevated).

Although I am accustomed to a queen bed, the full size bed was comfortable. All in all, it was an amazing stay, and my only regret was that I did not have more days to spend in Lisette's cottage. Looking forward to my next stay up there.

Fantastic Cottage

I can only say that this was the most wonderful vacation we have had and we've been on a lot of vacations. The cottage is clean and well stocked with things you'll need. All you have to bring is your clothes, your sheets, and your food. The view is beautiful and the owners are extremely nice and supportive. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to relax and have a restful vacation. Our favorite restaurant was Mountain Memories, although she is only open for breakfast and lunch. She is a wonderful lady and her food is all home made, also her coffee is always free. It also has a gift shop there and I just loved it there. You do have to travel quite a bit to see anything but that's ok. We also loved the Adirondack Park Museum, it was the best museum I've been to. Take my word it was great.

The best deal ever

This is one of the best place I have ever been to. The house is spotless and beautiful.
Your feet are basically in the lake once you are on the porch, it is that close.
It is just peaceful, fun, simply beautiful.
We were 4 adults for Memorial weekend and were supposed to leave on Sunday. It was just not imaginable to come back to NY on Sunday just to take care of a few things at home. We called Lisette to ask if the property was vacant and even though she had planned to go with her husband, she agreed to let us stay.

We went for a drive around but really did not feel the need to leave the house. We just sat on the porch looking at the lake and the activity on it. We enjoyed the pedal boat, barbecued and just enjoyed the peace.

Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and we would love to come back.

great long weekend getaway

Close to everything, hiking, Adirondack attractions, and town,but still a quiet place with great view of the lake and your own beach. The cabin is well maintain and Lisette and Bart were a pleasure to deal with. We're going again!

Nice place to relax

The house is clean, and well maintained. great views of the lake from the porch. The kayaks were a great entertainment for the kids. It is about half-an hour from the more popular Adirondack resorts, which is nothing for a day trip. There are nice local hikes and plenty of lakes to explore. It sits on lake Algonquin right off Rt. 30 and is close to a general store and a gas station.
The owners were very accommodating, prompt, and geat people to deal with. We loved our minivacation there.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
