Jim and Daneen Law live in Brewster where they raised their four, college aged, children. Daneen is a native of Cape Cod, grew up in Truro and works as a Realtor for oldCape Sotheby's International Realty. Jim grew up in CT, summered all of his life on Cape Cod and is an entrepreneur who has business offices in Dennis. They are fortunate to call Cape Cod their year round home and love what each season has to offer. They, like many, are particularly fond of the summer months as most of their family time is spent boating out of Sesuit Harbor in E. Dennis.
This property has been in the Law Family since 1968. In 2014 it underwent a large renovation including new windows, central air, new kitchen, updated baths, furnishings and decor.

Loved the combo of being able to walk to the beach with beautiful sunsets and then sit on the deck when back at the house watching birds. Tastefully decorated yet very comfortable to get cozy and read a book. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. No moldy smells like I have experienced in some other Cape cottages.
A perfect spot for our annual get-together of four friends since elementary school. Lots of comfortable space to hang out, talk, and eat in the living room (great view), deck (ditto), and kitchen/dining area. Loved that you could just walk down the road and be at the beach in a couple of minutes -- no need to deal with cars, traffic, and parking. The mile-wide low tide and sunsets were awesome. I had the master bedroom, which has a very comfortable bed and wonderful morning sun to wake up to. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and everything worked. Daneen and James are great hosts. Looking forward to return someday!
Every year I get together with three friends from childhood who live in different parts of the US, and this year we converged at this charming cottage in Brewster. The best part was being just a short walk from wonderful, uncrowded bayside beaches, which have great swimming at high tide. The tide goes out over a mile, and my very favorite thing was to walk all the way out and swim in the surf at dead low tide. We could walk for miles and miles along the beaches, sometimes cutting landward and walking back on the quiet roads. The birding is great as the cottage also overlooks a marsh. We saw hawks, herons, and on the beach, were surprised to see egrets mixed in with the sandpipers, gulls, and terns. In the evening, the birds serenaded us as we sat on the deck, grilling dinner, sipping a cool drink. We often returned to the beach at dusk for magnificent sunsets.
The cottage was very clean and sunny with attractive décor, and views of Cape Cod Bay in the livingroom and one of the three bedrooms. The beds were comfy, and we all enjoyed using the outdoor shower!
It was an easy walk to Kate's for an ice cream or fried clams, and just a little beyond were delightful shops, including the Lemon Tree Pottery, a kitchen shop, and our favorite breakfast & lunch spot, Alfresco. (Their lobster bisque is to die for!)
If we walked in the other direction, we could visit the Natural History Museum, which, in addition to being a great place to visit on a rainy day, also has a lot of great hiking trails.
The owners live nearby and were quick to respond when we had a question about the dvd player.
We all had a lovely time, and hope to return again to this delightful spot!
