I founded Cape Fear Native to share information about our wonderful coastal environment and support locally produced, nature-inspired art and gifts. I have a shop on the bottom floor and this great little rental loft upstairs. It's close to everything downtown and just a short drive to the beach.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2011

I live in Wilmington on the Intracoastal Waterway and the loft offers another experience for me and my family when they want to enjoy downtown. So now I can share that with others!

Walk two blocks to the Riverfront Farmers Market on the water on Saturday mornings. Enjoy a cup of joe at Port City Java, just a few steps away. Take in live theater at Thalian Hall, two blocks away. Go one block and up to the Fifth floor at City Stage for a sunset drink overlooking the Cape Fear River.

EXCELLENT LOCATION IN DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON

  • 5 of 5
I can't imagine a better spot for getting to know Wilmington. Heart of downtown/ entertainment district. The unit is small, clean, and nicely furnished (pictures are accurate). Owner is very easy to work with. Included parking is a big plus, but if I didn't have a wedding to attend several miles away, I never would have gone beyond walking distance of the unit. Place is perfect for a couple. If I have reason to return to Wilmington, this unit will be my first choice accommodation.

Great space and convenient location. No fuss or problems. Winding staircase from parking lot could be a problem for small kids or handicapped. Would definitely recommend for couple with an older kid tho'.

WILMINGTON, NC DOWNTOWN LOFT --- GREAT PLACE, OWNER, AND LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
This loft is a great place for either a weekend getaway or a longer term stay and Kass is awesome. Everything you need is in the loft. The location is perfect for downtown Wilmington access and very close to the Cape Fear River (Riverfront Park, Battleship, ...) and you do not need your car to get around downtown (lots of good restaurants coffee shops, galleries, museums, shopping and pubs). The loft is also a short drive to Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Southport, and Topsail Island and less than 1 hour from North Myrtle Beach. I look forward to staying at the loft again.

URBAN LOFT IN DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON

  • 5 of 5
Wy wife and I enjoyed our stay at the loft. We flew into NC for a wedding, and wanted to make it a mini vacation, without the standard hotel stay... We located the loft on the VRBO website. The loft is beautiful, and well equipped with everything you would need to cook, if you wanted to. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Port City Java, and Front Street Brewery took care of everything.

GREAT LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend here. The loft was in a great location, and would recommend it to other travelers. Staying on a weekend, it was a bit noisy on the streets at night, but that's to be expected with the amount of pubs/bars in the area. We loved being able to walk everywhere in the historic downtown...just wish we could have stayed longer!

LOVELY MODERN SPACE IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN

  • 5 of 5
Let me start this review by saying how great Kass is....the true gem of staying at the Urban loft is the ease of talking to Kass and working out all details with her regarding the stay. The space itself is in the heart of the city--walking distance to coffee, restaurants, and shops. Just open your door and you will be steps away from downtown life and Front Street.
Kass goes out of her way to make your stay as inviting, comfortable, and pleasant. The loft was clean and comfortable with great amenities. It was so warm and inviting that I actually stayed in the loft for just under eight months! It became a home away from home. Kass was very accommodating with my ever-changing schedule and extended stay.
If you have a chance to stay here, I would highly recommend it...it could not be better! Parking is very easy and convenient--located safely behind the loft in a secured/card key controlled lot.
I hope you all have a chance to stay at the loft when in Wilmington!
