|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
We re-imagined a single family home & created a beautiful top-floor, urban-chic flat. We enjoy the city's best weather & arguably the most exciting & convenient location in all of Mill Valley. The best our 'village' has to offer is just steps away!
Soaring ceilings with expansive windows, you will love the dramatic light throughout the day. Vintage hardwood floors, well appointed kitchen, romantic remote-controlled gas fireplace, large bedrooms, Wifi, and two 50' flat-screen TV's (Living Room & Master Bedroom). The Washer and dryer is conveniently tucked inside the hall closet and one dedicated off-street parking space is all yours. We also provide our guests with two bicycles for their enjoyment.
Our spacious three bedrooms (1 en suite) sleep 6 comfortably. At 1200 SF +/- the flat is nearly five times the size of a typical hotel room. Enjoy two full-baths including a tub in the master. The 'urban' experience is created both by the downtown location that we enjoy and the landmark building in which we occupy. We are a 'mixed-use' building that features a beauty salon, exercise studio and a one bedroom apartment (Long-term rental).
The Rental is configured to sleep Six (6) within three bedrooms. One bedroom features a King-Size bed, a second provides a Queen-Size bed and the third conveniently provides two-Twins.
Truly the ideal year-round destination location due in part to our temperate climate and proximity to San Francisco, The Wine Country, Lake Tahoe, Silicon Valley, Monterey, Carmel, Muir Woods National Monument, beaches, etc.

I'm available to my guests as needed but I give generous space/privacy. My own home is less than one-mile away, located in the Sycamore Park neighborhood. I'm happy to give recommendations and even a little historical perspective to those who ask. I am third generation Mill Valley, raising my children (The fourth generation) in this idyllic town that we are grateful to call home. I look forward to having you here as our guest.
Gary Ferroni purchased this apartment in 1999
Guests love our location and the the fine interior appointments. Arguably the best rental to use as a "home-base" and conveniently participate in all of the best that the city of Mill Valley has to offer.
Our rental is especially rare since it's IN THE DOWNTOWN! Moreover, three bedroom rentals with two full baths located here are extremely hard to come by.
I love the handsome aesthetic of the exterior and a touch of built-in cabinetry along with the high- ceilings in the interior. The gas fireplace and it's detail is consistently a favorite of guests. It's a wonderful place to entertain or retreat to after a long day of sightseeing.
This apartment was a highlight of our stay in Mill Valley. We were there for my son's wedding and it felt like a true "home away from home." Gary is a pleasure to work with, completely available and helpful but in no way intrusive. It is spotlessly clean, artfully designed, and thoughtfully equipped. Everything is high end-and when you need something-Gary already thought to have it there! It is right downtown, convenient to everything. If your event is at the Outdoor Art Club it is right around the corner. We had 5 adults staying comfortably, and it would have been fine with 6. I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly!
WOW. You could not find a better location. We walked out the door and hiked on Mt Tam, we went to the movie theatre down the street, we had excellent dinners...all within walking distance. With a quick trip in the car, we arrived in Sausalito and took the ferry to the city for lunch at the amazing ferry terminal. We will definitely stay here again. It is a sunny, clean appartment and the location could not be better.
My wife and I stayed here, and it was really great. We wanted to get out of the City to relax for a bit. The place is literally a block away from Mill Valley's little downtown square with a little bookstore/coffee shop and some pretty nice restaurants (Tyler Florence owns one of them!). Up the road from this apartment, there were hiking trails going through the redwoods that went all over Mt. Tam. The place itself is very cute, neat, quiet; absolutely recommend it!
Mill Valley is a picturesque California town of 14,000 residents and creative hideaway situated on the eastern slope of Mount Tamalpais. Nestled among redwoods, hills and canyons, Mill Valley is only ten minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge and City of San Francisco, yet less than one hour from the Sonoma and Napa Valley Wine Country. Smithsonian Magazine named Mill Valley one (No. 4) of the 20 best small towns--with a population under 25,000--in America.
What sets Historical Mill Valley apart is not just the spectacular physical beauty of its setting, but equally its human environment-uniquely combining tranquility and liveliness, privacy and community involvement, urban sophistication and village charm. Starting in 1905 with The Dipsea Race, the first cross-country race in the country, Mill Valley has a rich cultural tradition with the Mountain Play in 1913, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival in 1957, the Marin Theatre Company, a professional regional theatre in 1966, the Mill Valley Film Festival in 1978 and the 142 Throckmorton Theatre since (website hidden)-opened in February 2012, after a lengthly absence, is the Sweetwater Music Hall located in the remodeled Masonic Hall, located two blocks from the Rental.
Mill Valley is flanked by the picturesque City of Sausalito, 10 minutes south and the Town of Tiburon 10 minutes east with Angel Island State Park only a one mile ride (via Angel Island-Tiburon Ferry), all on San Francisco Bay. Although Mill Valley is close to San Francisco, it is adjacent to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and only 10 minutes to the Muir Woods National Monument and Tennessee Valley Trail head, 20 minutes to Muir Beach, or Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, 30 minutes to Stinson Beach and less than an hour to Point Reyes National Seashore.
Although one recommends longer stays, Mill Valley is 2-1/2 hours to Monterrey and Carmel and four hours to spectacular Lake Tahoe or Yosemite National Park; Yosemite Valley should be on your 'bucket list' and, especially during late spring, one of the most beautiful places in the world.
