London Cottage Rental Photos and Description
One bedroom cottage with magnificant views!
Does activities such as fishing, cooking S'mores over an open fire, watching hummingbirds up close and personal, sunning yourself on a floating dock, or just sitting on a cool, shaded back deck and taking in beautiful views sound inviting to you? If so, you have found your place!
From the moment you arrive, you cannot help but notice the spectacular views surrounding this cottage. Located within the confines of the Daniel Boone National Forest, it is secluded, yet not remote. It is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and leave all of your worries behind.
From the 1/2 acre pond just a few steps away to the rolling hills and mature forest beyond, your eyes will behold the beauty and wonders that abound at this place.
As you sit and relax on the spacious, covered back deck and enjoy the cool summer breeze, you can view what seems like hundreds of hummingbirds at once which feed close by. Sometimes you can get within a foot of these magnificent birds! Makes for great photo opportunities. (the best months for seeing hummingbirds are June through August, although some are still around through mid Sept.) Gaze at the ripples on the pond, or watch for turkey or deer meandering through the nearby fields. Feel free to pet or feed carrots and apples to our three horses. The horses love our guests, especially ones who come bearing treats for them!
Three private, stocked ponds are on the property. One pond, already mentioned, is directly behind the cottage; it is stocked with blue gill and has a floating dock. Feel free to cool your feet in the water, fish, or just catch some warm rays from the sun. Another small pond (stocked with blue gill and bass), is just a short walk away from the cottage. The third pond, a 1/2 acre in size, is down a hill, a short distance away. It is surrounded by mature woods all around and is a very scenic place. It is stocked primarily with small mouth bass of all sizes.
This cozy cottage is loaded with character and charm; it even has a real tree trunk inside! You are sure to be pleased when you see all the amenities that are included; just bring your clothes, food, and drinks. See the 'amenities' section to see all that we supply for you. The cottage is equipped with WIFI service so you may keep in touch with family and friends.
The seasonal gas log fireplace surrounded by a genuine, fieldstone chimney provides a romantic atmosphere to the bedroom area. The living room has a flat screen television, lazy boy recliner, and a queen sized sofa sleeper.
Finished original wood flooring in the kitchen, livingroom, and bedroom adds a rustic touch to the inside.
This rental property is owner maintained and cleaned; it is immaculate!
Feel free to build a fire in the fire pit that is in the backyard. No need to bring firewood as we supply the wood for you. Be mesmerized as you watch the dancing flames. It's a great way to end a perfect day.

My husband Pete and I are orginally from Northern Illinois. We moved down to Kentucky in 2001, and absolutely love it here. Pete had lived in Kentucky in the past when he attended MSU and fell in love at that time with the beautiful countryside. We currently have a small farm and raise chickens and have three pleasure horses for our personal use.
We love horses and living in the country, and when we first set eyes on this piece of property, it was love at first sight! We really do feel like we have a small piece of heaven right here. The rolling hillsides, the deep woods, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets just confirm the fact that we made the right choice by moving to Kentucky.
We are very near to the Daniel Boone National Forest which gives us great wooded views all around. There are numerous trails everywhere, great for both horseback riding and hiking, which we both love to participate in. We chose this property over all others because of it's beauty, tranquility, and seclusion.
We desire that you would feel 'at home' while you are here, and we are dedicated to give you the best service possible. It is our goal that every guest who visits comes away feeling refreshed and re-newed, and our hope is that you would desire to visit us again in the future.
