Wolf Glen is a wonderfully cozy 2 bedroom home with a large covered deck for outdoor grilling and dining on a natural glen that slopes toward the water. One property up from the water, it's a short walk down a single lane road that follows McCormick Creek to the waterfront of Puget Sound.
Start by stepping out the front door to walk across the yard, through the bamboo gateway and, if you want, even walk through the wolf and eagle tree carving (see photos). I'll write more about the fir tree (the source of most of the siding on the house) and the carving of the statue later.
The home is fully equipped for cooking and dining with comfortable seating for 6 at the dining table. There's a couple stools at the cooking peninsula for friends or family to sit and chat while someone whips up something yummy in the kitchen.
For tea drinkers there's a convenient Instahot hot water maker (dispenses filtered cold and hot water). For Coffee drinkers you will find a bag of Wolf Blend coffee from The Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie, the birthplace of Stewart's Brothers Coffee which later became Seattle's Best Coffee. If you want a fabulous latte, in my book, there's no better place to go. Just a short drive down the middle of the island.
If you don't want to cook there are many fabulous restaurants and coffee shops. Fine dining at the Hardware Store (sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it). Great hash brown and eggs at Sporty's. Delicious Mexican and marguritas at Casa Bonita's and many other wonderful places to choose from.
There are several stores in town for those that like to shop. A drug store and 2 grocery stores.
A washer and dryer and laundry soap are included for your convenience.
You can heat with the modern Convectaire wall heaters or use the wood stove for the ambience of the fire.
You can't find a more relaxing place to hang out with friends or family and be this close to Seattle and all of the big city activities it offers.

I'm a remodeling contractor of many years. Started out as a carpenter and a painter and I now operate a successful design/build remodeling business with a great team of talented people. I enjoy my work and I have an interest in interfaith studies with the hope of helping people of differing faiths find the common ground we all stand upon.
Denny purchased this house in 2007
I have always wanted to have a place where people could come and relax and enjoy the quiet or hang out with friends and family. Originally I bought this place to be my home but have since decided to bring my dream alive of a vacation place for others.
Sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the stars. Watching deer wander into the yard. Walking the beach and seeing seals or otters swimming through the water or eagles and opsrey flying overhead.
We spent two lovely weeks at the Wolf Glen property and enjoyed every minute we were there. The rustic comfort, breathtaking scenery and quiet time spent visiting family exceeded our expectations. Great grill and smoker for excellent cookouts. Rain or shine we were totally content at Wolf Glen.
Very nice, very comfortable accommadations. Nice view, a short walk to the beach...didn't realize until I was packing up to leave after 5 days that there was no TV! Didn't miss it at all. My daughter lives 2 minutes away, I plan to stay there everytime I visit Vashon. Thanks again!
Booked Wolf Glen for a two night stay with my partner and four friends to celebrate the 2015 New Year. It was a dreamy, cozy place and the perfect, easy getaway from the city.
The space was comfortable and warm. Great places to sit: on the couch by the fire place, at the big wooden table, outside on the wonderful wide-open porch, in the hot tub with the fresh air. If you are looking for a secluded place for talking, laughing, reading, cooking, and playing games with your friends or family, Wolf Glen is a darn good spot.
As someone who loves cooking, I was especially impressed with the kitchen. It seems that most rental places aren't equipped with well-stocked kitchens in terms of utensils and tools, but Wolf Glen had everything we needed for 2 days of lots of cooking for a group of 6.
We loved being there in the wintertime - a bright, cozy place. But we all agreed that it would be a great spot for the summer as well and we're looking forward to coming back in warmer weather. The porch seemed like a great place for a bbq and a picnic in the summertime.
All in all, Wolf Glen was awesome.
The cabin was very well appointed and comfortable. Everything I needed was there and ready. There was even a fire already laid in the stove and ready to go and coffee from a local roaster in the freezer. The bed was sooo comfortable, the place was quiet with little traffic on the road. The place is right by the road, which isn't really apparent in the pictures, but that's really of no concern because the road is so quiet, and you literally can't actually see it from the house or deck. The hot tub is large and modern, the deck is huge (and on the opposite side of the building from the aforementioned road, so there are no privacy concerns). The owners include a photo of the house from the road which is very helpful since if you stay in cabins like this as often as I do, you know how tricky it can be sometimes to actually find the place. With these guys, as soon as I came around the bend I knew I had arrived. They even followed up via text message on my first day there to make sure everything was good. I would definitely recommend them and intend to return.
This was truly a remarkable cottage on an island. There was fireplace, hot tub, hammock, great view and so much more. The owner was very attentive and catered to our every wish. Very well stocked, clean and no TV!
Will definitely return. Perfect for our family Thanksgiving celebration or for any other occasion or to just sit back and relax. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
Just the perfect place for a family to hole up for the weekend. Hot tub is hot! View of the water is legit! House is cozy and plenty spacious. Owners were very responsive. Place is really clean. Loved that there was no TV too. really added to our serene weekend. Would recommend to family and friends alike.
Many nature hikes on the island. Delicious restaurants and coffee shops in town. Kayak rentals at through Vashon Watersports at Jensen Point Boat House.
