ENJOY SPRING IN THE BIG HORN MOUNTAINS

Buffalo Cabin Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6

We built this beautiful 1500 sq. ft. cabin for our own personal getaway. We like high places so the cabin is on the side of a mountain at 8000 ft. elevation with a panoramic view of the Big Horn Mts, the highest being Cloud Peak at 12,223 ft. The sun rises behind the cabin which provides an amazing light show on the peaks in front of the cabin and sets over the Hazelton Peaks at the left front of the cabin's 16x20 deck for a truly one of a kind sunset. The show is not over yet because at this elevation with no other lights around the stars are so crystal clear and brilliant. The view from the porch or the big picture window in the living room is a never ending enjoyment day or night.

The Cabin has a king size bed in the master bedroom, double bed in other private bedroom and 3 double beds and one twin bunk in the loft. The Kitchen is fully equipped to do any kind of cooking that suits you and there is a large oak table with 8 chairs.

Further Details: The living room is equipped with a beautiful red Vermont Casting wood stove, a leather couch with 2 recliners, leather love seat w/2 recliners, and a large leather recliner. There is also a 32' LCD flat screen TV with DVD player so you can watch your favorite movies. The walls and ceilings are all Aspen finished and there are hard wood floors throughout out.

The cabin is perfect place for early risers to sit on the deck, enjoy your morning cup of coffee and watch nature unfold as the sun rises. You never know what you might see before you.

This is an ideal location for snow mobilers, four wheelers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts as it borders the National Forest on the front and BLM on the back. Your fun is only limited by you.

Why The Owner Chose Buffalo: I grew up here and just want to share the beauty of our mountains with others. We do a lot of snowmobiling and four wheeling love to take our grandchildren hiking we just love being there. For renting outdoor sports ultimate adventures in Buffalo.

A Little Bit of Heaven

  • 5 of 5
We stayed for five nights with our 11 year old grandson and it was one of the best locations in the area. The scenery from the front porch is breathtaking. The cabin is well equipped and the beds extra comfortable. We saw elk, pronghorn, and deer every day and a moose meandering through the valley as well. This will be a life memory for our grandson. The washer and dryer is a real plus! Crazy Woman Canyon is a must see and the South Fork Ranch was great for horse back riding and only a few miles from the cabin. This is a great location if you enjoy the back country as much as we do! Do not hesitate to choose this property! It is everything and more!

Paradise

This is a wonderful place to go to and relax. The views are unbelievably beautiful, and the cabin itself is gorgeous. I could have spent the entire time on the front porch with a glass of wine watching the view change. We rented an ATV from Ultimate Outdoors in Buffalo and put 100 miles on it just tooling around the surrounding area. It's one beautiful vista after another. The antelope in the field in front of the cabin are fun to watch, and on the last morning there was a moose in the front yard. If you want a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting, this is the place to go.

Wonderful place to get away from it all!

  • 5 of 5
My wife, one year-old son and I spent an amazing, relaxing five days at Al and Jane's house in the Bighorns. The view from the deck and living room is beautiful; the house is convenient to great hiking and wildlife spotting; and the house itself is a great place to just relax with family or friends. Buffalo, the nearest town, is a charming old-west town that is fun to explore. Jane and Al were great hosts, and we especially appreciated Jane getting a pack-and-play for the house so that our son had a safe place to sleep. I can't recommend the place more highly!

A Great Place to Get Away

  • 5 of 5
If you are looking to get away from the hectic pace of life, then this cabin is for you. The cabin is clean, well equipped and well cared for. More importantly, the cabin is well postioned for amazing views and welcomed solitude. The Big Horn Mountain area is amazing in so many ways and we were suprised at the lack of other travelers. The owners were very helpful and we are thankful for the opportunity to have stayed at their cabin. Hope to do it again sometime soon!

Long time friends looking for a place to unwind found this idyllic cabin on VRBO...we loved the setting in the Big Horns, the wildlife outside our panoramic windows, the town of Buffalo, and the local folks we met along the way. The cabin is even better than the pictures and the beds are GREAT (so many are not in vacation rentals). The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the porch has firewood stacked and a grill....so you can cook out or stay warm and cozy inside. We are already planning on how to make it back for another visit.
