Beautiful Vacation on the Bay

My family of 7 spent just over 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays.
The Villa is wonderfully spacious, and clean with all the bedrooms set out in different corners and levels providing privacy for us all when we wanted it. The pool, hot tub and lounging areas were fully utilized as was the outdoor kitchen/BBQ area. We enjoyed kayaking just a few meters to the beach from the pool courtyard deck. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn't lack anything in the preparation of our meals. This was important as we are a family who enjoys cooking and dining in.
We rented a car and were glad we did as the facilities for dining and groceries in the Loreto Bay development are minimal at this time. A great coffee shop, small mexican bar and dining as well as a friendly wine bar. A very small but limited grocery store provides some package/prepared foods and drink but no fresh fruits and vegetables. The hotel resort does provide a couple of restaurant but the food was average and the hrs of operation were quite limited during our stay.
We did all our grocery shopping in town (15 min. away) and were quite pleased with the variety of food and drink we found.
We also enjoyed local mexican cuisine at some of the small local restaurants.
I would have rated our experience as excellent however, we did have a few issues with the TV satellite/cable, the pool and hot tub heating, and the fridge which shutdown after a couple of days. This being said the property manager was fairly quick to deal with the pool heating issue and the heating was only down for a few days. The fridge was replaced within 24 hrs. and even though the satellite was shutdown 4 days before we left we were not spending too much time in front of the TV so this was a minor inconvenience.
We enjoyed visiting the town of Loreto, visiting some of their historic sites and the market.
Wherever we went we found everyone to be friendly and helpful.
We will keep this Villa on our list if we decide to return to the Loreto area.
