Four adults (two singles and a couple) were in Denver for a wedding and thoroughly enjoyed this home. We took full advantage of the backyard barbeque and fire pit, hosting another couple for dinner and conversation on a balmy April evening. The kitchen is well-equipped and allowed us to eat many of our meals at the house, after stocking up at Sprouts Farmers Market. We strolled to 32nd Avenue and checked out the shops. We also enjoyed a fabulous Mexican lunch at "Paxia" a short drive away. We did not use the loft area. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, close to downtown and has easy freeway access. I would recommend it for small groups as well as families.
I travel once a year to Denver, and love to stay in this neighborhood. You can walk to a ton of places, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and parks. It is a safe neighborhood with friendly neighbors. I also loved this home for our family. It has a great backyard for the kids, and for entertaining. We had a family grill night. Overall great experience! I was a little concerned about the spiral staircase for our little one (2yo), but we had no problem nor did he! They even had sippy cups (we forgot ours).
Want to stay in a neighborhood in Denver that has walking access to wonderful restaurants, bars and shopping? This is your place! I have been staying around Denver for a few years doing mostly business travel and this is my favorite neighborhood.
Really enjoyed the local fish market as well! The house had EVERYTHING we needed...right down to a highchair, kids plates and sippy cups. There are some warnings posted in other reviews about the loft area and stairs- our 2.5 yr old and 4.5 yr old just stayed away from them. Not an issue at all.
The 3 bedroom house had more than enough room for the 4 of us. The fenced in back yard was fantastic and we were thrilled to see that it had a nice, clean, functioning grill.
The house obviously cost a bit more than a hotel in Denver but was a million times better for a traveling family. Stayed for 5 days and we didn't really want to leave. We will be coming back!
I was in Denver for work for a few days and instead of a hotel I opted for this cozy home. What a treat! It was less than most hotels and allowed for me to experience Denver in such a unique way. Loved the neighborhood and the house was just perfect. Old charm with new details; exactly what I was looking for. I was able to relax on the porch with my morning coffee and come home to cook a light dinner...things I can't do in a hotel. I will definitely return when I am back for my next trip!
The house really had 4 private bedrooms including a fine large loft which our 4-gal cousins' weekend took advantage of.Great modern kitchen with everything one would need to eat in which has as its allure a lovely, private, yard with comfortable and ample seating. Neighborhood is conducive to lovely walks and easy access to shopping and restaurants just blocks away. Clean, comfy beds and sofa and well cared for.
The house is in a great neighborhood within walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. The kitchen is nicely equipped. However, the listing says it can sleep 10 (we only had 6) which it can but there's very limited LR seating and just a table for 4 in the kitchen. It also claims to be OK for children although the spiral stairs and loft surely do not meet any building codes. There are gaps in the spiral stair railings that our 5 year old easily fit through and the lack of a railing in one section of the loft was scary. I also fell down the basement stairs as the 3rd step from the bottom is much narrower than the rest and there is no handrail. If you have a small group of adults, I'd recommend this home. If you have small children, be careful.
