Welcome to our urban oasis located on a magnolia- lined street in Santa Barbara’s Historic Downtown. Enter the private front yard of our 1920's restored Craftsman Bungalow via the vine-covered gate and then follow the path to the studio's private entrance. It's time to relax with a book, or just sit back with a snack and take in the bird's song from inside your vacation retreat.

Once you are here you can walk everywhere! This location garners a 'Walk Score' of 94 from WalkScore, which makes us a 'Walker's Paradise'. Stroll the well-lit neighborhood streets and enjoy vibrant stores and boutiques.

Within a 3-block radius you will find an abundance of world-class dining and other amenities including: The Arlington and the newly-renovated Granada Theaters, Santa Barbara Modern Art Museum, upscale retail shopping, unique local boutiques, Danish bakery, cafes, day spas, grocery, deli and pharmacy. Santa Barbara's Courthouse, known as the most beautiful government building in America is located three blocks away.

Pick up the open-air trolley and ride the 10 blocks to Stern’s Wharf and the Santa Barbara Marina. Breathe in the salt air while experiencing California's amazing sunset.

What a find! I had been looking for a place to stay in Santa Barbara but found most hotels and rentals out of my price range and not ideal for wanting to get around on foot. The cottage is small, but perfect for a couple or one person. Very clean, really comfy bed and the location can't be beat. One block off of State Street and a short walk to the beach.
Katie and Rich were lovely hosts, very helpful and directed me to some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Can't wait to come back!

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rich and Katie's cottage! The one bedroom cottage was cheerful, clean and inviting. The location afforded us the opportunity to walk to downtown Santa Barbara for lunch and shopping.
Rich and Katie are the type of hosts you hope to meet while traveling - friendly, helpful and courteous. It was also pleasant to wake up to the birds and sunlight streaming in the windows of the quiet residential street.
We will definitely plan to return.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in this delightful guest house. All of smallest details were taken care of and the space was incredibly clean. The location is outstanding, close to fantastic shops and restaurants. It's great for strolls down to the harbor or long runs along the water (ask for routes - it's a great place to run!!!) Katie and Rich are gifted hosts and we will make this our go-to place to stay in Santa Barbara for years to come.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful memorial day weekend at this studio apartment located within walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara. The owners are super friendly and helpful in pointing us to restaurants and local highlights. It was quiet and private and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. I plan on returning soon!

Adorable Cottage with a Perfect Location

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage in the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara this past summer and it couldnt have been any better. You are located blocks from State Street with tons of great shopping and places to eat. The cottage is also short walk to the beach, or an even shorter bike ride.

The cottage is perfect for two people, it has a comfy bed, clean bathroom and a nice sized kitchen. This rental has so much charm that it feels like it should be in a fairy tale. It is really has everything you will need.

We found Katie and Rich to be accommodating, but never in our space, they are really lovely people who clearly take pride in providing a great experience for their guests. They also had great food, entertainment and site seeing recommendations.

We can't wait for our next trip to Santa Barbara and we know exactly where we will stay. The second we got in the car to drive home, my husband and I both said "We can't wait to come back and stay here".

Thank you Katie and Rich, we can’t wait to come back and enjoy the cottage again!
