|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
I have a three day minimum stay. This home is seven miles from downtown Atlanta and located in one of Atlanta's safest zip codes.
Some pets, if you provide immunization record and proof of grooming within a week of the stay. Pet must be crated when owner is not on the property.
WiFi and everything you want while visiting an urban area and if not interested in ''hotel life'' included for use in the home. Upgraded interior includes silk drapes and real oriental carpet. The dishes are vintage collectibles and the selection of pots and pans is extensive. Heavy flatware. Fluffy towels and quilts and down pillows are provided for all the beds. The sheets are very good. Some of the vacation homes you may have visited looked like they were furnished with basement castoffs; you won't feel like you have dropped down several socioeconomic groups in this home. In short, the place is the way you like to live.
The upscale neighborhood is perfect for running or jogging. Plenty of street lights and sidewalks. Extensive dvd library. Treadmill on hand in case of bad weather and you can enjoy cable, Netflix, streaming television or Redbox is a block away.
Amenities: First aid kit. Laundry soap, dish detergent and paper products provided. Some pantry staples in kitchen. More baking pans than you can use.
The subdivision is on the Ridgedale Park side of Peachtree Road, across Peachtree Road from the area known as Old Brookhaven.
Garden Hills public pool in Buckhead is 3.7 miles away.
What you will love about this urban oasis is that the neighborhood is established with large trees and landscaping. Your strolls through the neighborhood will be enjoyable in any season of the year.
The location is excellent. Locals know that Brookhaven is a great neighborhood. Not as congested as the Buckhead garden subdivisions, but very convenient. The number one complaint common to the Atlanta area is traffic. Well, travelers, just walk two and one half blocks to the Marta Station and you can be at Stone Mountain Amusement Park, Atlanta Mart, Downtown, Airport, Midtown, Buckhead or pretty much anywhere in the Atlanta metro area. You can see folks stuck on 400 from your train window
Location: You can board the commuter train in the airport, go to the Brookhaven Marta train station in 23 minutes, and roll your suitcase to the house in a few more minutes (Or take a taxi for six bucks! Taxis are always in front of the Brookhaven Marta train station). Return home by the reverse route.
Center for Disease Control is three miles away, the house is very close to Emory and the Georgia Shakespeare Company's productions at Oglethorpe University are less than 2 miles away. The home is seven miles from downtown Atlanta.
For shopping, if you are fit you can walk to the Buckhead Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza malls at 1.5 miles. Town Brookhaven is 3 miles away with Marshalls and Costco. Within 3 miles are at least 20 bars and restaurants. If you love antiques and thrift stores, Antiques Row in Chamblee is a train ride and short bus ride away.
No more than six persons, with infants counted as persons.
The owners are a family that have been in the rental business since the 70's. We have had this house since 2009 and purchased it because the neighborhood made it possible to rely exclusively on public transportation and because the area is upscale and has beautiful landscaping along streets that are perfect for walking or running. We are a family with a great love for this beautiful city.
Marcia purchased this house in 2009
The subdivision is in a perfect location, the house is 2 blocks from North Peachtree street. Fit conscious adults run and walk down the neighborhood sidewalks. The neighbors are friendly and homes here are lovingly cared for.
Outdoor space is plentiful.
This house has everything you could possibly need. Everything here is "top notch"-cups great, linens great, etc., etc.
Wonderful area of Atlanta. Perfect for us because we are here for soccer games at Oglethorpe College.
A great rental - and reasonably priced, thanks for everything Marcia.
House is beautifully appointed, inside and out. Loved the cozy kitchen, fun outdoor firepit area and delicious beds. Walkable to fun neighborhood restaurants, MARTA, shopping and Starbucks. Marcia was very responsive to A/C issue - next day it was fixed. We all want to go back to continue our relaxing spring break!
Very cozy home in the center of Atlanta. So many restaurants, bars, shops within minutes, close to buckhead, midtown, downtown and the suburbs! LOVE Brookhaven area! And within walking to Marta train...also the comfiest couches and beds! Great weekend away for me and my mommy friends to catch up and enjoy some time together!
This was my first time booking a home vs. a hotel while we worked a trade show. Its a long exhausting day- and I cant tell you how nice it was to come home to a "home" vs. a hotel. Another review mentioned a little home in a mcmansion neighborhood- and thats pretty on point. We were a bit put off since it does need some paint....as we were pulling up...but once inside- we were thrilled. It's kinda like staying at grandmas....if grandma had made sure her house had flat screens & really amazing bedding. We will be back for sure. Marcia, the homeowner, was great about getting back to us & keeping in touch. There's a shopping plaza around the corner & the marta down the street a bit. We rented a car to get around- that cost we would have blown in 2 nights had we stayed in a hotel eating all our meals out. We wil be back for sure!
My husband and I stayed for a few days because we were in town for a wedding. We found the bed to be more comfortable than any we have had in five star resorts. We had a down comforter for the 30 degree night, and the memory foam mattress pad was most appreciated. The neighborhood had many newly constructed McMansion type homes, and this house is one of the few remaining bungalows. The location is about three miles from the North Druid Hills exit off I85, so it is easy to get anywhere you need to be in the city. We will definitely stay in this inviting home again when we return to Atlanta.
My sister, niece and I loved staying at your lovely house. It was very comfortable and had everything that we needed for a great stay. We loved the super comfortable beds and how quite it was at night. Nothing disturbed your sleep. The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed watching them walking their dogs. We were thrilled to be so close to the Marta and enjoyed seeing Atlanta without having to drive too much. We had a great time in Atlanta and were always happy to return to "our" wonderful house and relax after our adventures. Thank you for sharing your great house with us!!!!!
This is a perfect place to come and chill out in Atlanta. I live in Italy and was visiting the USA for a month. At the end of the trip, I rented this place for 5 days. It was perfect! The neighborhood is lovely, quite and the neighbors we met ( while they were walking their dogs) were very friendly and nice. The neighborhood is close to everything too. I highly recommend this house for anyone who may want a few nice quiet and fun days in Atlanta.
