Les Quatre Vents is a beautiful rose-covered stone cottage peacefully set at the end of a quiet no-through lane (no passing traffic) in unspoiled rolling countryside bordering Cerisy Forest. The area is criss-crossed with trails and bridle-paths - super for walking, running, cycling and horse riding.
The cottage has stone walls and oak beams, full central heating and modern facilities and is spacious, very comfortable, clean and well equipped for up to 15 guests - perfect for large families, for friends and for groups to explore this wonderful area and to relax together.
There is parking (minibus accessible) for 8+ vehicles in the private courtyard which has automatic lighting and level access into the cottage.
You will be welcomed to a lovely clean, aired cottage with fresh flowers in the living rooms and welcome refreshments to enjoy at your leisure. For arrivals during cooler weather the cottage will be pre-heated and the log fire will be ready to light, so you will feel cozy and comfortable right away!

The five bedrooms are arranged with your choice of king beds or single beds, bed linens are included and the beds will be made. More beds can be added for extra guests.
There are five full bathrooms with a constant supply of hot water for anytime showers. Bath and hand towels, bath mats, shower gel and hair dryers are provided.
The spacious lounge has an open fireplace for cozy log fires and comfortable leather seating for 12 guests (another sofa is available for extra guests). Entertainment includes free wi-fi, flat-screen satellite TV (CNN, BBC), DVD player, movie library, books and board-games, CD player and radio. Tourist information and itineraries for visiting the D-Day Landing Beaches etc.
Convivial meals can be enjoyed in the spacious separate dining room where 15 guests can sit together around the two large farmhouse tables.
There are two separate very well equipped kitchens with plenty of big pans and dishes, tableware and glasses etc. - ideal when catering for large groups. Picnic sets, ice packs, cool boxes and cool bags are provided for your picnics.
Pre-arrival shopping, home-cooked meals, professional chef hire or catering can be arranged.
Laundry facilities include two washing machines (one with integral dryer) and a steam iron and board. An optional maid/laundry service is available.
Double French doors in the lounge and the dining room lead into the lovely private enclosed sunny garden which is attractively planted for year-round colour. There's a large lawn for outdoor games and plenty of garden furniture for relaxing. Guests can enjoy views of the countryside and forest, and help themselves to garden herbs and fruits in season (pears, cherries, plums, wild strawberries).
There are two 8-seater picnic tables for al fresco dining and a barbecue grill - try our village butcher's prize-winning steaks and sausages!
3 miles to Cerisy-la-Forêt village for your daily provisions and morning croissants!
There are three very good restaurants within 10 minutes' drive.
Martin and Carolyn (your friendly and discreet English hosts) live in the farmhouse on-site and are happy to offer information and assistance throughout your stay.
They can print out your flight boarding passes to save you time at the airport. For a relaxed departure, they will do the end of stay cleaning - simply pack and go!
