Serene setting

  • 2 of 5
The cabin was lovely and on the side of a mountain, halfway up the canyon between the city and the contentiously divide. There are a lot of animals in the cabin so be aware of that. The stairs are very narrow and open. This is not the cabin for anyone with limited mobility.we had fun climbing the rocks behind and walking down to the river(it is not in view). Sitting on the porch was by far the best pArt. Please be sure to check with the cabin owner before going. We had sewage backup into the bottom shower and were unable to shower or run laundry or dishwasher for the last half of our trip-3 days. We actually Left a day early to take a nice shower before heading home. I was rather disappointed that we weren't offered a discount because of this. We paid a lot for a nice cabin- if I had wanted to camp out, I wouldn't have rented the cabin. The owner indicated she would have a plumber fix the problem - so this may be not be an issue now.

Perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5
My family of 8 traveled here for my daughter's nearby sporting event. We enjoyed a week of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby cities, but close enough to enjoy the convenience of all the cities had to offer.

The listing was accurate with regard to location and accommodation, and the listing photos don't do justice to the property itself. It is well maintained and impeccably clean, and has all the amenities for a home away from home. My family of 8 slept very comfortably, and my younger sons enjoyed the separate "getaway" room over the garage, where they could play games and watch TV without interruption.

The owner was easy to reach and very helpful with every question I had along the way. We hope we have the opportunity to return to this beautiful home in the years to come.

Remote location in mountains.

  • 4 of 5
Nice cabin in the mountains. Plenty of room. It takes an hour to get there from Fort Collins area, so make sure that you have plenty of time allotted for travel. Location was not ideal for us, but we were under the impression it was close to where we were coming from. It turned out to be 2 full hours. Lots of nature. Small restaurant within a couple of miles, but no gas station.
Home was clean, but hot tub was not operational.

Truly Wonderful

  • 5 of 5
A wonderful, scenic and restful abode. I flew from NY to AZ and drove with my three young sons and my grown son to Colorado for a small family reunion. It was so wonderful to see family and everyone was impressed with the accommodations. It made me feel at home after many days of travel. We went to Mesa Verde National Park driving up and Casa Bonita in Denver on the way home. We toured many places "Out West" my young sons had never seen and Poudre Canyon is surely on my list for a future Rendezvous, perhaps to raft the river when my children are grown. This cabin was a perfect setting for my trip "Out West". I do recommend the cabin to friends and family. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. Thank you for providing this opportunity.

Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I finally arranged a family vacation with 3 of our 4 sons and spouses/girl friends, to visit our fourth son, who lives in Ft. Collins, CO. All of us enjoy the outdoors and we wanted to be in the mountains for a week of family time. We were very happy to have found this beautiful property in the Poudre River Canyon, only about 45 minutes outside of Fort Collins. The cabin is well equipped with all of the modern conveniences in a secluded setting. It is beautifully updated combining a rustic look with modern-day amenities. It is very well maintained. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner at the cabin and gathering on the deck in the evenings. During the day we would take the scenic drive to Fort Collins or up to the top of the mountains. We also enjoyed a whitewater rafting trip on the Poudre River (which by the way is a five minute walk from the cabin). Warm days and cool evenings made the outdoor time great and the sleeping fantastic. I would highly recommend the property to the listed groups. The owners were friendly and great to work with. We really enjoyed our trip.
