Enjoy a memorable vacation at our lake house on Keeler Lake in Decatur, MI, only a 2 hour drive from Chicago. The house is a fully furnished 2 year old modern lakefront home. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, an open living/dining/kitchen area, and a large furnished 2nd floor loft. The house sleeps a total of 13 people. It is fully furnished with a Pottery Barn decor throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, etc., and has a wood dining table for the whole family. There is a large sofa and a wood-burning fireplace in the living room. There's a big TV in the family room loft for your enjoyment . The personal touches in decor along with the large bedrooms give you the feeling of being in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy beautiful lake views from the living/kitchen/loft/bedroom areas.

Four Winds Casino Resort in Hartford is aprox 10 min drive from the house. The newest hot spot in southwest Michigan has arrived! Enjoy our beautiful 2 year old modern home in Southwest Michigan, only 2 hours from Chicago. Keeler Lake is 100 acre all sports lake close to Sisters Lakes.

Enjoy summer lake activities like swimming, boating, tubing, water skiing, etc.

There are usually summer festivals and activities in and around town. Go berry picking, enjoy farmer's markets, winery tours, day visits to St. Joseph's town and beautiful beaches. Nearby Hartford has a drive-in outdoor heater.

In the Fall, visit the many area pumpkin farms, apple-picking, haunted houses, and hayrides.

Winter activities include ice fishing, skating, nearby snow tubing and skiing. Pick and cut your own Christmas tree before heading home at the nearby tree farms.

Perfect home for families!

We absolutely love this house! Although the pictures on this site are nice, the house is so much more beautiful in person. Every year in October, our family and a group of friends like to rent a house in Michigan to get away from our busy life in Chicago. Every year it is always a struggle to find that perfect house. Not anymore! We liked this house so much that we rented it again a month after. We loved that there's so much to do. The kids loved playing in the sand at the beach right in the backyard. There were pails and shovels enough for 6 or more kids. The kids also had fun with the fishing rods although we didn't catch any fish at the lake. When we went in September, the weather was so beautiful so we spent a lot on the paddle boat exploring the lake. Both the adults and kids had a blast! The highlight of our evenings was roasting smores around the fire pit. We even brought a guitar and sang some songs around the fire. We loved that this house is so kid-friendly. There were kids' cups as well as sippy cups for the toddlers to use. Not only that, there was also a little kiddie table with small chairs so that the kids got to eat their meals at their own table. We are for sure renting this house every year for our annual getaway. We loved dealing with Christine. She was always so available and helped us with anything we needed. No matter how nice a house is, it's the pleasantness and availability of the owner that make renting this house worth it. They are so flexible with check-in and check-out time which to me means a lot! If you're looking for the perfect house, look no more - this house is it! A part of me didn't want to write this review because I secretly don't want people to know about it so that it would be more available for us to use. :)

Everything You Hope For!

Our four children, spouses, grandchildren and us just spent a wonderful relaxing week here. It was everything we had hoped for - and then some! When you decide on a vacation home, you hope and pray that you won't be disappointed in some way. We could not have been happier with our choice! From the very beginning, Christine was great to work with and answered all of my many questions in a very timely manner. Meeting Jack at the house confirmed our decision even more. They were both very accommodating and gracious. The house itself was clean and beautiful, well-appointed, very comfortable, and having a garage was a bonus. The large yard was great for the kids, as well as the sandy beach and quiet lake - some days we had it all to ourselves! The narrow road around the small lake was nice and used daily for walks, runs, and bike rides by young and old.
There are many places of interest to visit a short drive away. We went to St. Joseph and Silver Beach on Lake Michigan. There is a wonderful indoor Carousel and Curious Kids' Discovery Zone there on the beach that we all enjoyed immensely! Another day we traveled to South Haven to take in the shops, the boats in the channel and on Lake Michigan, and lunch at Clementine's - a must! Also, be sure to visit Sherman's Dairy there for great ice cream. It was always so nice to return to our beautiful quiet home on the lake - so nice that we hated to leave at weeks' end! It truly felt like our home - away from home. We would highly recommend you book this one - and be as blessed as we were!

Amazing Michigan Lakehouse

First of all, the house is absolutely gorgeous! From the actual layout down to the smallest details, it looks like it came out of a magazine. The bedrooms are super comfy with lots of soft pillows and plush linens. The main family room is warm and inviting. The chef's kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. We wanted to make s'mores and of course there were skewers for the fire pit! My kids (10,8,5) loved the lake toys and the sandy beach. My oldest used the paddle board to take her siblings on tours of the lake. When we arrived there was a huge binder full of information about the house and things to do nearby. They even provide a detailed map to the nearest grocery store.

The owners were always accessible and more than willing to help out with whatever we needed. The house was immaculate upon arrival. We were even able to check in early which was awesome. The lake is small and very peaceful. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone without reservation. The pictures online don't do it justice!

Kudos to Christine and Jack for creating a wonderful vacation experience at Keeler Lake.

Home Away

Stop looking for that special place, because this is THE ONE! The listing is spot on, plus!! We had extended family all together for a week, and had plenty of room.
Jack, and Christine are so wonderful, kind, and helpful. They answered ALL of our questions, and were quick to respond to any questions that we have had over our planning time in the past 6 months. This house is fully stocked, with everything you could imagine. The house and property is clean and well maintained, I felt so pampered in this home. The lake and surrounding area are quiet.
The decor is warm, the beds are comfy, and the pond calm. We all learned how to kayak, and paddle boat. The beach was a hit, tons of sand, plenty of room for all the kids.
Every night we had s'mores. Set up the ping pong table, played baseball in the yard. Rode the bikes that were available! We had so much to do, that you don't need to leave the house.
We did do some exploring too, and went to SIlver Beach in Saint Joseph. Also hit the John Ball zoo.
We will certainly be recommending this home to others that will be heading to this area.
You truly could NOT be disappointed with this home, or with the customer service, as well as the attention to detail. This is truly one of a kind!!
