Palouse Barn Rental Photos and Description
Barn, Studio + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
Urban chic meets country living! The Wesson Barn Loft is an 860 sq. ft. totally unique, unexpectedly modern, studio style lodging on the second floor of our barn. We designed and built the space with great attention to detail and function; it imparts an open, but intimate feel. The Loft boasts a fully furnished, jazzy kitchen; just add food. The full bath has plenty of storage and full-sized laundry facilities. The open living area sleeps two in a queen-sized bed and also sleeps two in a queen-sized, trundle-style/pop-up (NOT hide-a-bed) couch. There is a spacious, relaxing, south-facing deck with the best views of our country property and our chickens and sheep or as a place to enjoy great views of the sunrise or sunset. Also furnished are high-speed, wireless internet, a big screen TV with Blu-ray DVD, CD, iPOD dock and Bose sound system. Parking is right outside the door.
We are located one mile from downtown Pullman, two miles from Washington State University and 10 miles from the University of Idaho just across the state line in Moscow, ID.
We are about 45 minutes from the Snake and Clearwater Rivers which offer boating and fishing as well as jet boat trips on the Snake River up Hell's Canyon.
There are extensive mountain biking trails on nearby Moscow Mountain as well as a 30-mile paved trail system that connects Pullman and Moscow and continues on to Troy, ID. This trail system provides easy-access, cross-country skiing in the winter time.
There is a tournament level golf course on the Washington State University campus plus two more golf courses in Moscow, ID (only 10 miles away).
In general, we offer a peaceful country setting with a twist. The Loft is a place to slow down and enjoy all that a small, university town has to offer.

I am out of contact until July 20.
I became a rental owner sort of by accident. I did basic research for 24 years at the University of Idaho and when an early retirement option became available, I took it. I didn't know I was going to learn so much about carpentry, power tools and finish work. My husband and I have designed and built three buildings on our four acres and gutted and renovated our 115-year-old farmhouse. We think we have an addiction to building! The goal now is to make our creations work for us.
We also enjoy backpacking, canyoneering, rafting and kayaking. In addition, I like to sew, bake, garden and be an engaged and happy Grandma to my two grandsons who live ten minutes away.
We offer unique lodging in a peaceful country setting. The landscape of the surrounding area of the Palouse is spectacular. Having two land-grant universities within eight miles of each other makes this a vibrant community.
