NO PRICE INCREASE FOR 2013! This home, brand new in 2011, is located in the Seaside at Winding River development on Holden Beach. You will be two short blocks from the ocean with access to a beachfront clubhouse and large swimming pool. In the other direction, you are two blocks from the Intercoastal Waterway with day-dock access for your boat or Jet Skis. Renters also have privileges at the mainlaind Winding River Plantation which includes an Olympic-sized pool and fitness center. The home has front and rear decks with a reverse floor plan that puts awesome views of the ocean and Intercoastal Waterway right outside the Great Room. The large master bedroom on the top floor includes a king bed and large, tiled shower. One of the first-floor bedrooms has twin bunks. The enclosed garage gives you safe storage as well. Cable television with HD and WiFi Internet access is included with your rental. You're also are an easy walk to weekend festival and concert activities.

No price increase for 2012. Weekly rentals run from Saturday afternoon through Saturday morning the following week. We only accept rentals in full weeks during the summer seasons unless the property is unrented six days or less in advance. We will consider shorter terms in other seasons. Minimum stay is 3 nights. We greatly prefer requests for partial-week rentals within a weekly rental period (Saturday through Saturday) instead of overlapping across two weeks (such as Friday through Monday).

The surroundings: There is tons of world-class golf within 30 minutes as well as deep-sea fishing, jet-ski rentals, para-skiing and more. The historic nearby towns of Southport and Calabash are great for day trips. Airports, shopping and more are less than an hour away in Wilmington to the north and Myrtle Beach to the south. The nearby city of Shallotte has several excellent restaurants, a movie theater, all the usual fast-food suspects and shopping such as Office Depot, Dillard's, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart and some excellent local furniture stores. Food Lion and Walgreen's are located immediately on the mainland from the Holden Beach bridge.

Holden Beach has been named one of America's best family beaches. Even on the most crowded weekends, there is plenty of room. That's because there are no high-rise condos and related urban sprawl. What you find is a long, beautiful beach and the Intercoastal Waterway for swimming and boating of all types. It's also a great spot for bike riding, jogging and even turtle watching. Within a few minutes drive are several excellent golf courses including Lockwood Folly and the Fred Couples courses at Winding River Plantation. And, within less than an hour's drive are dozens more courses and all the nightlife and shopping of Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. It's also an easy drive to the famous waterfront seafood restaurants of Calabash and the old city of Southport. The island itself has several restaurants, pubs and shops. All your immediate needs as well as more restaurants are right across the bridge or in nearby Shallotte. The summer also brings numerous outdoor concerts and festivals.
