Guestbook comments from the owner

Our wonderful visit to San Francisco was only enhanced by our stay at Casita Mallorca. Kathy and Rick have created a beautiful apartment-to-call-home while you are travelling. Quality linens in the bedroom and the bath gave an indication of the attention to detail that was obvious throughout the apartment. Heaters made the terrace delightful despite the cool weather; as did the fireplace for the chilly mornings. The flat was exceptionally clean and well organized. The neighbourhood was fabulous! Great restaurants, shopping, accessibility to Napa for day trips and also to public transit for the many other interesting areas of San Francisco. Kathy was so very helpful and always available for our questions. San Francisco was the outstanding beginning to our trip through California. We didn’t have enough time to enjoy the city to its fullest so we definitely will return to Casita Mallorca for a longer stay.

Lovely home, lovelier hosts

  • 5 of 5
I had the pleasure of staying in the Mallorca apartment this fall when visiting SF for a conference. The place was precisely as advertised -- lovely, cosy, full of amenities. It's in an excellent part of town -- the Marina -- and provides convenient access to a variety of services and locations. Chestnut Street (just two blocks away) has more restaurants than you can possibly try in your time here; I enjoyed Causwell's at the recommendation of a friend, but the host has many excellent suggestions as well. What's more, the apartment is just blocks away from the ocean, and about 5 minutes away, you can access Golden Gate park (if you're really adventurous, you could venture to the bridge or take a bike to Sausalito).

Most of all, I was satisfied with the hosts. They accommodated a last minute request on my behalf to stay, were lovely to talk with and offered many useful suggestions, and were attentive and responsive during my stay.

I would without fail recommend this property to anyone else, and hope to stay again the next time I'm back.

Casita Mallorca

My sister and I stayed at this fantastic apartment for a week, and we couldn't have been happier! The apartment is on a lovely, quiet street just a short walk to the great food and shopping on Chestnut Street. There was so much to do at nearby Fisherman's Wharf --exploring Ghirardelli Square, riding the ferry to Alcatraz, and renting bikes to cross the Golden Gate and explore Sausalito.

Kathy and Rick were extremely helpful during our stay - always ready to give advice or answer a question. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of a day of sightseeing.

We will definitely stay at Casita Mallorca on our next visit to San Francisco!

Perfection

Finally getting around to writing a review on this amazing place! We recently stayed here on our trip to SF at the end of May. I participated in the Escape to Alcatraz triathlon and stumbled upon this gem while looking for lodgings online. We could not have been happier with our experience. From the beginning, with booking and in the time leading up to our arrival we were given such excellent service. Upon arrival we were even happier. The guidance on things to do and where to eat was spot on. The location could not have been better for us, just a few blocks from the transition area of the race, and everything was so clean and organized. That amazing fireplace that we used the entire time. Everything was so cozy and perfect. It was hard to leave! I cannot wait to eventually come back to SF and stay at this adorable place! Such amazing and hospitable owners, we really had the best trip ever.

Casita Mallorca

This condo was perfect for my husband and myself. First time to visit San Fran and we couldn't have been more pleased with it. It was everything - and more- than we expected. The fire pit on the patio is especially nice for the cool mornings with our coffee and the cool evenings to enjoy a glass of wine. Just north a few blocks you can walk to Marina Blvd and get great pics of the sunset. It's not only within walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants, but is close to buses that go everywhere within the city. Our first night we took the sunset cruise on the Red/White line at Pier 43, where we had dinner aboard and took great pictures. One day we took the HOHO tour (Hop on Hop off) and rode atop a double-decker bus. That was a blast, we got to see all the different areas of SF and our tour guide was very funny and informative. We got off at Union St, walked around a bit and hopped on another one to finish the tour by Fisherman's Wharf. One day we did the Alcatraz tour (book at least 2 weeks in advance), the audio tour was very enlightening - be prepared to do a lot of walking. Try to eat at Scoma if you can get a reservation, it's close to Pier 43. Pier 39 has tons of shops and eateries and we watched the sea lions sunning and playing. They were hilarious. We went across the GG Bridge to Sausalito - what a picturesque little town with great shops and restaurants - there's a Scoma there too. All in all, we loved the condo and loved San Fran and will be going back same time next year, the weather couldn't have been better and we hated to leave. Kathy and Rick were always on hand to answer any questions we had before we even arrived. They are great hosts.

We spent four nights starting 7/29 and found the location to be excellent. Street parking was available and then we never moved it...great restaurants and shops are two blocks away as are several bus stops and the Marina District shoreline is three blocks in the other direction we great views of Golden Gate and Alcatraz.

Family Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5
Casita Mallorca was such a charming property and the location was excellent! There were two of us in our party and it was the perfect size. It is within walking distance of everything you could need, you really don't need your car. If you have to get further into the City you can always use public transporation or we would call a cab for a pick up right at our front door. The Casita was beautifully decorated and very clean and updated. The patio garden was lovely and I'm only sorry we didn't get to stay longer to discover more of the Marina District and just enjoy being in the Casita! The owner's are delightful to work with and really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this property!
