The old house is built in Istrian style. Long ago, the cobbler of the town used to live and work here. The house is very close to the historical church square and belongs to ‘Stari Grad’, ‘The Old City’. From the garden terrace with outdoor grill, as well as from the balconies of the new building, you have a wonderful view upon the undulating vineyards up to the sea, which is about 8 km away. Especially guests, looking for peace and quietness will enjoy the 6 x 12 m large pool, which is surrounded by a wooden terrace with deck chairs and outdoor shower. The house and the garden are maintained by a house keeper, who is daily present for some hours. The house manager is from German and speaks german, english, french, russian, and lives next door, the owner lives in Porec, but comes over to greet and welcome the guests. Both have many insider’s tips and suggestions for special trips and festivals that take place in Istria in the summertime.

The apartment has 2 separate bathrooms. It has a living area with kitchenette, dinnerware, air conditioning, and heating, bathroom with bathing tub or shower and balcony. The guests can share the big garden terrace and the outdoor grill. The 6 x 12 m large pool was finished in 2007, and it is surrounded by a wooden terrace with deck chairs and an outdoor shower. A house keeping couple is daily on the estate. The apartment heads south, which makes it sunny even in the late autumn and early winter. For cold nights, air conditioning and extra electric heaters are available.

Višnjan is a picturesque village, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and old pine trees. It is located in the middle of a wonderful nature, among the most beautiful places in Istria, between the mountain town Motovun and the port Porec. Novigrad and the other bathing resorts with beautiful cliffy pebble beaches are also easy to reach. The tourist centers along the seashore offer a variety of leisure activities. In Visnjan, you will find peace and tranquillity. Grocery stores, a butcher’s, a bank, a medical center, dentists, pharmacies, post and a restaurant, as well as 2 cafés make the town independent from the other tourist towns along the coast. Višnjan is internationally known thanks to its observatories and astronomers. There are daily bus connections to Porec, Rovinj, Pula, Rijeka, Koper and Triest. Coming from Koper on the new highway “Istarski Y“, you can reach the drive Visnjan in around 30 minutes. Within the same time you can reach Pula.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices are valid for max. 4 people in the 45 m² apartment, for up to 2 weeks. For 5 people and more, we offer extra bedrooms with bathroom, please ask for the price. Children under the age of 6 can stay here for free. If you stay 3 weeks or longer, we offer a 10% discount. The unique final cleaning flat rate is 50 Euros. The visitor’s tax is included in the price as well as bed linen and towels. You can combine apartments with studios, so that 9 people or more can comfortably be accommodated in one big living unit with 2 bathrooms. Please ask for the price.
  • Weekly cleaning and linen chane. Towel change twice a week. Extra cleaning is charged. An extra bed, breakfast or breakfast basket, baby bed, Internet, bikes on request. Cleaning of personal belongings are possible 50 Kuna charge/machine.
  • If you would like a breakfast basket on the day of your arrival, we will of course prepare it for you, for 7,50 Euros per person. This basket contains everything you need for your breakfasts: tee, coffee, milk, fresh bread daily, butter, home-made jam, cheese, salami, fruits, (cereals on request) and whatelse you want.

Getting to Visnjan: Pula airport has flights from London, Dublin, and Edinburgh etc. is 53 km away. Ryanair, Flyglobespan e.o. enable this connection through the whole summer. Several other airports served by low cost carriers are within reasonable driving distance, Triest over the border in Italy (Ryanair - Stansted, Frankfurt) 90 minsute drive, Rijeka (Easyjet -Luton, Bristol, HLX- Stuttgart, Munich, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig) about a 60 minute drive, Ljubljana (Easyjet- London Stansted, Wizz-Brussels) about a 120 minute drive as well as Venice. You can rent cars at all airports, in Italy or Slovenija make sure that you have permission to travel to Croatia.

Lovely setting for villa just around the corner from a quiet, relaxing village yet only a short distance to Porec and beaches. Great local eating in both village restaurants that are very good value for money. Well maintained villa with exceptionally clean rooms, excellent customer service from both the lady servicing the rooms and owner who were both friendly, helpful and always happy to help, great adv antage to have villa manager living nearby who was a wealth of local information. Visit to hill top villages of Motovan and Grosjan well worth a visit. Good wine tasting. Would definately recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely Location, Comfortable Rooms

We have stayed here at least 3 times. It is exceptionally clean, the pool is wonderful, the town is relaxing, the views beautiful. The rooms are well maintained and the owner and manager provide excellent customer service. I have recommended Villa Visnjan to friends and family and they enjoyed it as well. During high season, this town offers calm to the crowded tourist cities nearby. Car or bike necessary to travel around the countryside.

From here, we visited Baradin Caves, Porec, Rovinje, Umag, Motovun and many other Istrian towns. We particularly enjoyed Astrofest and the wine tasting - every year at summer solstice.

Erholung in entspannter Umgebung

Die Villa verfügt über sehr schöne und geräumige Appartments - der weite Blick vom Balkon aus auf die Dächer des Dorfes Visnjan bis hin zum Meer bietet echte Entspannung. Klasse auch der Pool, an dem wir einige Tage gefaulenzt haben. Die gesamte Atmosphäre in der Villa ist sehr entspannt - dazu erhielten wir ein sehr freundliches "Welcome" sowie immer wieder gute Tipps oder nette Gespräche. Im Ort gibt es alles, was man braucht - wer den Rummel liebt, fährt nach Porrec oder Rovinj (hübschere Stadt von beiden). Die Villa ist für Urlaub mit oder ohne Kinder sehr geeignet - wir kommen gerne mal wieder. Gruß aus München.

Rundum schöner Urlaub

Inmitten eines kleinen netten Örtchens gelegenes schönes Landhaus mit verschiedenen Appartments.Großer schöner Pool mit Liegestühlen und Sonnenschirmen. Die Wohnungen sehr geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet, sehr sauber.Insgesamt sehr gepflegte Anlage.Die ausgesprochen nette deutschsprachige Verwalterin wohnt in der Nähe und steht einem bei Bedarf mit Rat und Tat beiseite.
Verschiedene Strände in ca. 10 Km Nähe mit dem Auto gut erreichbar,Fels- und Kieselstrände. Dadurch sehr klares Wasser, ideal zum Schnorcheln.
Landschaftlich sehr reizvolle Gegend mit verschiedenen netten kleinen Städten, für Tagesausflüge bestens geeignet.

Dorf noch nicht "touristisch" erschlossen

Das das Haus neu renoviert war hörte man deutlich am quietschen der Türen und des Bodens! Ansonsten sauber!
Außerdem scheint jeder in der Nachbarschaft einen Hund zu haben der am Abend das Bellen beginnt und nicht mehr aufhört damit.
Sat-TV bestand aus einem deutschsprachigen Sender!
Sehr viele Baustellen im Dorf! Der Pool durfte abends nicht mehr benutzt werden, aber mitbezahlt habe ich ihn auch!
Werde doch wieder eine Ort wählen in Meernähe!
