About Rose and Gregg Dykstra
We moved to this beautiful lakeside community known as Beachwood-Bluffton and fell in love with all of the water views and opportunities for family visits with so much to do with children and grandchildren and friends. Visitors have commented that they were unaware that this beach area existed, and ...it is one of the best beaches they've ever seen...anywhere.
Pere Marquette has been rated as one of the top beaches in the United States.
Rose and Gregg Dykstra purchased this house in 2014
Why Rose and Gregg Dykstra chose Muskegon
This property was so clean and well-maintained by the previous owners, that we knew it would be something we would appreciate staying in as a cottage/retreat. It is so close to the playground, boardwalks, lighthouses, beaches and the submarine, that you do not need a car. The restaurant Docker's Fish House has had rave reviews by boaters and beach-goers and is a favorite of ours to walk to. A new restaurant has opened on the beach (Called 'The Deck') and will be the perfect place to watch the gorgeous West Michigan sunsets.
The history in the area is well-worth exploring as you learn that Muskegon was once a dominant city in the nation with the lumber baron era. The historical section of downtown Muskegon is loaded with history and beautiful architecture.
The screened porch is so relaxing and will provide many hours of family and quiet time for your vacation.
