BEACHFRONT 1BD CONDO-HUGE BALCONY LOOKING DIRECTLY AT BEACH

I want to review the condo, the island and the whole Inverness building but I will just review the condo because it was the best part of the 3. The condo is a nice 1 bedroom, the furniture was comfortable, the bed was VERY comfortable, I slept the best I have in awhile. The kitchen is fully stocked so you don't need to bring anything extra, they even provided the coffee filters for the coffee maker. The balcony is where you will find yourself most of the time though. You can relax on the balcony, take a nap (there are 2 lounge chairs there that aren't in the pictures) read a book, eat your lunch or dinner the whole time staring at, and listening to the waves. If you like S. Padre Island, then you will love this condo. It is a great price and your proximity to the beach is excellent.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the other reviews but this unit is on the 9th floor, not 8th. This unit has a great location, right on the beach, great view, and a parking garage which was very nice.
The unit itself was not as expected. It was dirty, had an overpowering mildew smell (which caused us some health concerns), and was not well maintained. Ex. The blinds and refrigerator door were broken. The seal of the fridge was covered in mildew, the dishes were dirty and rusty, and everything was really dusty. The unit was covered with air fresheners to cover the bad smells. You can imagine what my allergies were like....
Due to the condition of the unit, the owner did move us to another unit in the complex on the 8th floor which was nice and allowed us to enjoy the remainder of our trip.
South Padre was great, but I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone.

The 8th floor balcony overlooking the Gulf was worth the stay by itself. Drinking coffee while watching the sunrise became a morning ritual. Take the elevator down and you're right on the beach. The covered parking left the car cool during the day before heading out for dinner. Can't wait to go back!
