Takasegawa Suites was built from the ground up with the idea of your utmost comfort during your stay in this fascinatingly mysterious city.
The house is located along the Takase river and has beautiful scenery all year long with cherry blossoms in spring and gorgeous autumn colors in fall. The house is located in downtown Kyoto and is very close to literally hundreds of bars and restaurants.
You'll find all of the comforts of home and more at Takasegawa Suites. There are 3 bedrooms, a nice kitchen, living & dining room too. There are 2 toilets and a washer/dryer to make your stay more comfortable no matter how long you stay.
There is air-conditioning and heating throughout and the nice big double paned glass windows will ensure a quieter experience for you.
This property is perfect for any stay in Kyoto. It has plenty of space with 2 double bedrooms downstairs and a spacious kitchen and living room upstairs which looks over the street and river. In cherry Blossom season it is SUPERB. It is quiet and yet only a 3 minute walk to the sights and amentities of Gion. The owner is very caring and helpful and offers to assist if one has any problems or questions. He can be contacted using the apartment's phone. He even offered to take us on a walking tour around the area but rain the next day spoilt the opportunity. Instead he left us some local beers to sample during our stay. Thank you Takasegawa Suites. We felt most welcome and thoroughly recommend others to stay here during their stay in Kyoto.
Our family of 6 adults, had a wonderful stay at Takasegawa Suites. It was/is everything described on the website. However, It can only be fully appreciated by staying there. Impeccably clean, well maintained, comfortable, excellent location, in the heart of Kyoto. Great local neighborhood feeling with a variety of nearby restaurants, shops, and convenience stores. Hidei spares no expense to welcome you and make you feel at home in his own way with thoughtful snacks and a map with highlighted Kyoto attractions. And that little flowing river with cherry blossom trees reaching over to touch the balcony, ah! Delightful little bridges as well, helped make our Kyoto visit truly magical!
We absolutely loved staying in this home. The location was ideal with short walks to some of the best sights and restaurants of Kyoto. Also train and tram access is close and easy. The house was in pristine condition with all necessities. The kitchen was well equipped. It's a perfect place for 2 to 8 people. The owner Hidei was incredibly helpful and set us up with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Next time we come to Kyoto we will go straight to Takesegawa Suites and not bother staying at a hotel.
We loved our stay at Takesegawa Suites. We had excellent service from Hidei throughout the booking process and on arrival. The location is ideal with so much within walking distance and having a real atmosphere of old Kyoto. The house itself is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It all felt very new and spotlessly clean. It's a definite 5 star recommendation from us!
This was a fantastic venue for our family holiday in Kyoto, close to the Nishiki market, shopping and transport. The location gave us easy access to the trains and buses, so we moved around with great lots, using this as a base.
It was great to be able to shop for food and come back and cook or alternately have so many restaurants to choose from. The house comfortably fitted five adults and was exceptionally clean and in great repair. The outlook over the canal right in the old part of Kyoto was delightful. A truly memorable family Christmas.
Thank you for ensuring a much enjoyed stay in Kyoto.
Highly recommended also due to the owner's attention to details.
We been to Kyoto several times and this house was by far the best accommodation we've stayed at. Brand new, spacious and centrally located in the heart of Kyoto. It is within short walking distance to attractions such as Gion, Kawaramachi Dori, Nishiki Market and Pontocho. And yet the area is quiet and peaceful. The house sits next to the Takase river and the gentle sound of running water can be heard from the bedrooms. There are many restaurants, cafes and convenient stores nearby as well. The house was clean and has a well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine / dryer, which made our holiday that much more comfortable. The owner Hidei was extremely pleasant and helpful. We would highly recommend this house.

Kyoto is a very unique city filled with culture and charm. It is uniquely modern yet bound by the unwritten rules and is filled with traditional culture.
Depending on the time of year, you can see all sorts of amazing festivals from serenely solemn to wildly festive. The Gion Festival, one of Japan's 3 biggest festivals and a Unesco World cultural event, spans the whole month of July. This festival has continued in Kyoto for over 1000 years and draws people from all over Japan to witness its beauty and awe inspiring tradition.
Kyoto's is filled with markets that occur every month. You can find beautiful old Kimonos (sometimes new), Obi (kimono belts), gorgeous Japanese artifacts and sometimes swords. These temple and street markets are fun-filled and lively. They are great for strolling through and also a good chance to chat with the locals.
The people of Kyoto are a tad shy but once you get to know them or they get used to you, they are sweeter than your own grandparents.
If and when you do come to Kyoto, come here with an open mind and a big heart. You're going to walk away with treasures and memories that will be bringing you back for more.
