I recently retired after serving 21 years in the Air Force.
My wife, two teenage sons and I currently reside in Warrensburg, Missouri.
The Owner purchased this house in 1996
My in - laws lived in the Plantation and we always enjoyed visiting. Friendly faces, lots of activities!
The Plantation offers great golfing on two 18-hole courses. Many activities are also offered by its three clubhouses, including fitness centers, outdoor pools/hot tubs, tennis, pickle-ball and shuffle-board.
We rented this property for five months in the winter of 2012-2013. It is a lovely home in Glendale Village , one of the component villages within the gated community The Plantation at Leesburg. Glendale was completed only in 2007 and consists of all modern solid block and stucco homes.
We did not have an opportunity to view the home prior to leasing. Clean, enjoyable and well furnished, it matched or exceeded our expectations based on the description. It is difficult for pictures to convey the sense of spaciousness, the high ceilings, and the general ambience. The neighbours are friendly, helpful and proud of their properties and the community. The owners and management are fine people to deal with.
Leasing this home includes access to all of the wonderful facilities within the large gated community of some 2820 homes – and all are free except the golf! Located partway between Leesburg and Clermont, good restaurants and shopping are nearby. Big time shoppers can take advantage of the Orlando Premium Factory Outlets. If one wishes to boat or golf, nothing beats Lake County. Disney is a short drive. Our children rent short-term in Kissimmee. It is just down HWY 27 or the turnpike. A bump in the health road has prevented us from spending this coming winter in this lovely home. We highly recommend it and look forward to being back ourselves when the health road is again smooth
