We're from Texas and longed to get into some snowy woods for the holidays. We absolutely loved visiting Ouray in the summer and couldn't wait to find a place to experience this adorable town during the winter. This cabin is the perfect "home base" for experiencing Ouray and the surrounding areas. It is clean and cute. It comfortably sleeps 4 to 6. The beds were pretty hard to get used to--a bit to hard for our liking, but the other attention to detail in the cabin (like sliding barn doors throughout, washer/dryer unit, tiled bathrooms, etc). We have 3 small boys that loved exploring the surrounding woods. There is no hot tub, which would have been a REALLY nice addition on the large front porch, but it did have a great fire pit in the back that we got a lot of use out of each chilly night. If a TV and DVD player are important to you, double check with the owner before booking, since it was missing a DVD player during our visit.
We stayed in August of 2014 and found the cabin decorated nicely with rustic touches. The local staff was easy to reach and willing to accommodate our needs as we arrived. The cabin has creeks on both sides and a beautiful view out the front of the mountains. The online photos were nice but we found the property and views more beautiful than pictured. We highly recommend this VRBO to others! Don't miss the hotspring pool in Ouray!
Perfect! Sounds of streams by cabin. Hiked behind house to find our own private waterfall! Fans in house. Bed is a little hard but everything else was a perfect getaway. Could live there !!! Than you!
My husband and I stayed art this house for just 3 nights but we so enjoyed our stay. We love going to Ouray and this house was just perfect for us. The owner was so nice and we so enjoyed meeting her and her husband. My husband and I wanted and needed some private time together, away from our busy work schedules, and this house provided that. The views from the front porch were incredible and the little streams on both sides of the house were so calming to hear when sitting on the porch.
The house was very clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were beautiful.
We will definitely return to this house, hopefully this fall, for color week.
This quiet little cabin is close to town but just far enough away from town to where you feel like you're truly in the mountains. An amazing view of the big snowcapped peaks right out the front window. Perfect small size cabin for a couple or small family. Excellent price, thanks for sharing your home away from home.
The location was very convenient to downtown and close to Telluride. It was well equipped and clean , however the bed was to firm for our taste. Overall , we enjoyed the cabin and the amazing view of the mountains from the front porch!
