Live at home and in luxurious comfort in Los Angeles.

Fully modernized, recently remodeled home on a quiet tree-lined street with long-time neighbors. You will see horses being walked and exercised right up the block, as this little area of Glendale/Burbank adjacent to the LA Equestrian Center is one of the few parts of the megalopois zoned for them.

Location also happens to be 12 minutes to Hollywood/Highland, Downtown LA, or Burbank Airport, 5 minutes to downtown Burbank, and walkable to excellent restaurants and a friendly corner store.

Finest Egyptian cotton linens and hypo-allergenic feather-free bedding. Fully modern copper plumbing and a brand new (in 2012) HVAC and waste system. Newly paved walkway and driveway, and fresh paint inside and out.

If you're arriving into Bob Hope International Airport (BUR) it's a short $20 cab ride away (yet rest assured that the flight path is in the complete opposite direction). Once you're here, you will almost certainly need a car or take taxis to get around greater LA and Glendale/Burbank; this is Los Angeles, after all.

Pleasant, comfortable, peaceful and well-situatied - these are all adjectives that apply to this cute house on a quiet street is, yet it is well situated to central LA.The Riverside Rancho area of Glendale/Burbank is nestled near Golden State (5) and Ventura (134) junction but quiet and unique; although nobody on the block has stables, many houses in the neighborhood do. Plenty of parking, including a private driveway.

This is a beautiful classic from the 1930's with newly refinished hardwood floors, restored bathroom and a stainless kitchen with cooking and serving utensils. 2 bedrooms and a den with comfy sleeper sofa accommodate up to five sleepers in three beds - a queen, full and two twins. Plenty of closet and drawer space and an office with computer (as well as wifi). Kitchen features recessed lighting with dishwasher, gas stove, microwave and washer/dryer, water and ice. Central air conditioning/heating, cable TV with DVD player. Citrus trees on property provide fresh lemons and grapefruit, when in season, in spacious, fully enclosed and lockable private back yard.

10 minutes or less to Disney, WB, NBC, CBS, ABC, Universal, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network; adjacent to Equestrian Center; 5 minute drive/1 mile to Media District restaurants and theatres. 5 minutes Zoo & Museums.

About The Owner

West coast represent! My regular home is in San Francisco, and business and family take me to this fully refurbished home which has been in the family since the late 1970s.

Why The Owner chose Burbank

This great accessible location is underserved by quality accommodation, and has become known as one of the best parts of LA.

It's pretty amazing to be so close to the heart of one of the world's largest cities, and have it be so quiet and peaceful at night that outside, you only hear the distant whoosh of highway traffic, and inside, complete silence, or perhaps the gentle sound of crickets at night.

Unpretentious and not part of the westside scene, this location offers easy, central access to the heart of LA and is the perfect spot for families working with local movie studios or visiting family in the area. Go south and you are downtown, in Silver Lake/Los Feliz or at a Dodger game in 15 minutes or less. Go west and you're at Hollywood and Highland (or Sherman Oaks, for that mattter) in 12 minutes. Pasadena is the same distance in the opposite direction. Unversal Studios and the zoo are right there, and even Disneyland is a direct 35 mile drive down I-5.

What makes this house unique

The area around the house is zoned for horses, and you'll even see them being exercised up and down the street. The convenience to the airport, the corner store, the great local restaurants, and the ease with which you can take the 5 downtown, the 134 to Pasadena or west to the 405, or shoot over Griffith Park Drive and Barham to Hollywood makes this a great spot, and if you have business local to Burbank you might even be able to bicycle there. Best of all is the peaceful, restful quality of this place; crickets at night, nearby mountains to the north and south during the day.

Great Filming Location!

We used this property as a filming location for a small TV shoot. The owner was very professional, kind and the experience overall was very pleasant. Neighbors were not fussy about us coming into the neighborhood.

Aesthetically, the property has a very cozy cabin-like feel. Wish I could have stayed the night!

From the time we arrived at this beautiful home, we felt relaxed and welcomed. The pictures only began to tell the story of what a lovely property we had rented. Everything we could have asked for and more was included in this house from a lemon tree full of fresh fruit we were encouraged to use to the juicer that helped us make some fabulous lemonade. The house is convenient to the major attractions in L.A., but comfortable enough that there were days we just enjoyed staying home. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Mark was such a terrific owner, responding quickly to the one small concern we had during our stay. If you want a comfortable home, with everything you need at your disposal, rent this property!

a beautiful home and a great location

We stayed at Casa Verde for the month of January, 2013. This home is a real delight. It is very nicely decorated and maintained, inside and out. The hardwood floors, stain glass windows, paneling, and art work are beautifully done. It has everything you could need – appliances, utensils, roomy closets, great beds and linens. We particularly enjoyed the patio, cooking on the gas grill and drinking fresh lemonade with lemons picked from the tree along the driveway. In addition to the normal appliances you would expect, they even have a juicer, coffee grinder, and espresso machine. The large-screen TV, additional TV in master bedroom, computer with high speed internet, and foosball table were nice bonuses. The neighborhood is quiet, upscale and safe, with very little traffic. There were several restaurants within a block or two – we tried Mambos (Cuban) and Chinda (Thai) and would recommend both. Being close to the Equestrian Center, there are horses stabled down the block and we frequently saw them walking in the roadways. We particularly liked being so close to the LA Zoo and Griffith Park - so much to do there. The house is also close to the I-5 and the 134, so it’s easy to get anywhere in the LA area. We hope to come back next year and would definitely recommend this house to others.
