When you take time away from your career to go on vacation, the last thing you want to do is spend the entire trip driving long distances to take the kids to area attractions, get to a nice restaurant, and find the best shopping spots. This house is 10 minutes away from nearly every attraction in the area, yet removed enough that it's just you and the woods at the house.
We understand that, though your time away from the 'real world' is valuable, you may still need to check in, so WiFi is provided. Linens are also provided, so you have less to pack and wash for your trip.
When you're not getting your fill of everything Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer, there's still plenty to do at your home away from home. You can play a game on the XBox360 Kinect, rack the balls for a game of billiards, or just relax in the hot tub.
Each of the three bedrooms features a King-size bed, as well as an HD television. The Master bedroom is on the main floor, and has its own private bath and jetted tub. The second bedroom is upstairs and also has a private bath, and the third bedroom is downstairs with a bath across the hall. The Living Room is on the main floor and has a sleeper sofa, and the fourth bath is just off the Living Room.
*The cabin is 2 miles out of town from Stoplight #8, which is convenient to all attractions in Pigeon Forge, and removed enough for you to enjoy the peace and quiet.
*All roads going to the cabin are paved, and the driveway is paved.
*The home is equipped with keyless entry and an alarm system.

I own nearly 40 home and apartment rentals, plus three vacation rentals. My wife, daughter, and I manage the properties ourselves. (Read Above: I am a workaholic.) In my downtime, I enjoy feeding the ducks that live on the pond behind my house, throwing out a line to see what bites, and escaping to the mountains.
Chandres Pickett purchased this cabin in 2000
I've been bringing my family to this area for the past 20 years, and we still haven't seen and done everything here!
There is nothing like waking up in the morning and rocking on the deck that puts you high up in the trees, while sipping a nice mug of coffee. And there's nothing like ending the evening with a soak in the private hot tub. We love coming back to see what everyone who says has written on 'The Wall'.
I must start with saying; the hospitality/customer service we got from Chandres was nothing but the best!
It was nice to see the pictures of Panther's Knob cabin were exactly the same as what we saw when we actually got there. We were able to park 3 vehicles in the space provided. I was pleasantly surprised with the layout. There were 3 couples with children, but yet we all had our own private space when wanted it. The view was nice, and every evening we had a raccoon visitor that would sit and wait for someone to look over the porch at him, hoping for food, he was so cute!
All the attention to the décor also made it nice. We had everything we needed when we cooked dinner there on our last night. We plan on staying in and cooking/grilling every night when we return. It was such a cozy relaxing feeling during our stay, we really loved it! I can’t wait to return in September!
To anyone looking for a nice cabin in the mountains, this place is it! You would never know that all the attractions were so close by while at Panther’s Knob. :)
We had a wonderful stay with 3 couples! Only complaint would be more towels. Other than that we really enjoyed everything and the pictures matched up with the actually cabin!
Overall the cabin was good. The stairs inside the cabin are extremely steep. The steps are barely wide enough for your foot to fit. Also the "sleeper sofa/futton" is in desperate need of being replaced. Also probably a good idea to add some sort of heater for the downstairs bedroom. When you turn the heat up enough to get it warm, the main floor gets too hot. Also, could have used a few more towels left out in the bathrooms. I guess I'm just used to the other cabins we have stayed at having at least 4 towels, 4 wash clothes, 2 hand towels and a bath mat in each bathroom. I realize that there is a washer and dryer, but I don't want to have to wash towels each night. I would like to relax a little more on my vacation. Also, not sure if the cleaning people smoke or not, but the towels had a cigarette smoke smell. I'm sorry I had so many complaints. It just wasn't as I had expected.
We had such a great trip! The cabin was perfect, very well kept up and clean. It was nice being back in the woods, but also 10 minutes away from town. The girls loved that a Christmas tree was up! We also loved that the sound system was hooked up outside as well so we could listen to music on the porch. We made breakfast and dinner every day, it was so nice. Our couples trip was awesome and we couldn't have chosen a better cabin to stay at! We will definitely be back!
The cabin was very clean and well kept. The location of the cabin is very convenient to all attractions. We were just minutes away from everything. Although not advertised, the cabin does have a wonderful view of mountains to the left of the parking area. Our family spent the 2014 thanksgiving week at the cabin and enjoyed every minute of it. On the second night of out stay we were visited by two black bears and on Thanksgiving day it snowed. The kids had a blast and this defiantly will be a vacation that they will never forget. Thank you Chandres for everything.
