Perfect apartment for Paris
5 of 5
This is a great apartment for the perfect Paris getaway. Stayed here for four nights with my wife and two kids. The location is excellent - right in the middle of everything and right outside one of the main metro entrances, with many shops and food places all around. The apartment is facing inside so there is no noise from the street. The rooms are quite large for a Paris apartment. The furnishing is simple but everything is very clean and working and you have all of the stuff you need for day to day living including a washing machine, drier and dish washer. Aurelia is super nice and very helpful. She met us there and answered all of our questions and gave us helpful tips about Pairs.
We stayed here on our honeymoon and Paris and we very impressed with the location and the amount of space!
The apartment was very quiet, yet right in heart of all the restaurants. Just a 10 minute walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame, and an easy walk to the Latin Quarter for dinner if that's your fancy. The metro station is also right out your door so it makes it easy when to get out of Paris for a day and explore the surrounding Châteaus or palaces.
The pictures that are posted do not do justice to how spacious the apartment truly is. I have stayed in Paris a few times now and was really surprised by how much room we had. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were a little soft for me. The tub was nice and deep and a much needed bonus at the end of a long day of walking. The kitchen was fully equipped, and had way more than we needed for our dinning out holiday.
The apartment was very clean and bright, with curtains that really keep the light out in the morning.
My only suggestion is, if you use the stairs, they are VERY slippery, so be careful. And if you use the elevator, be ready to squish in (especially if you have any bags).
Aurelia was very helpful and more than willing to help if anything went wrong. Also, there was no problem getting the security deposit back for those of you concerned about transferring that many euros for a hold.
The whole experience in dealing with Aurelia was very pleasant and easy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in this area.
This is really the perfect appt. to stay in Paris !! It´s better than anything you can see around: the settle it´s the best in Paris, two or three blocks from Île de la Cité (where Paris iniciates... Pont Neuf, Notre Damme, Conciergerie, St. Chapelle) and two or three blocks from the Louvre !!! the Rue Rivoli, and in the other way, a few blocks from the Centre Pompidou and the excelent Marais... You´ll have buses, RER and subways all around the corner and you don´t even need them because you can go anywhere walking.... We have magnificent time in the appt. ´cause there you have anything you need: washing machine, microwave, perfect heat sistem and it is cleanning and excellent maintened, So we made it as our home by 20 days. Also Aurelia (the owner) was very nice to us, and she offered help and advice since the first time we contact her by this place. We hightly recomend this place!!
This apartment has an ace up it's sleeve. LOCATION. Transportation HUB of Paris! You can get anywhere from here EASILY (just remember to bring coins not bills to the train! Airport, Disney, Versailles). Walking in any a direction will bring you to shops, food, historic landmarks (Louvre, Notre Dame, etc), night life to all hours weekends and weekdays. But being in the midst of all that, the apartment is extremely quiet and comfortable. Spacious if your used to large Hotel rooms, this place comes with plenty of room.
Huge Windows, instant hot water, washer (no dryer), kitchen, large Bed (queen I think maybe King can't remember). Plenty of clothes storage places, shelves and hanging space with hangers.
The cons: Dusty! Seriously I don't know where all the dust comes from. We watched the cleaners clean when we arrived and by the time we left you could see dust. Maybe it's a Paris thing I don't know but be prepared to clean a little if you like everything neat and tidy. We cleaned twice during our 10 day stay. The toilet area smells. Maybe it's a Paris thing, I'm not sure. But it took us 7 days to learn that if you lower the toilet lid after you flush there was no smell. Odd, but now that you know how to fix the problem it won't bother you.The hot water tends to cycle from hot to really hot to not so hot. Takes some getting used to when showering. If you want hot water though, this is your place. It has a great water heater that doesn't run out. Be careful if you wash your clothes in the washer in hot water. The water is extremely hot and it melted some of the lettering on some of my shirts right off. ( I suggest washing in cold while your there). No English channels on the TV, so if your looking for news from the states or if just like to have a TV on when you unwind you might miss that. The elevator broke during our stay one weekend. Since it broke on Saturday, it didn't get fixed over the weekend. This apartment is on the 4th floor so if you have trouble with stairs that might be a problem. I enjoyed the exercise but you may not.
This place should have many more popular reviews. If you like being in the heart of everything with things to do at all times, this is your place. YOU DON"T NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER.
If you are thinking of staying in Paris and having a hassle-free time, then this apartment is perfect! Our stay was made perfect by two things: the apartment itself, including location and Remi, the apartment's owner.
Firstly, the apartment itself is very spacious and contains all of the facilities required for a stay in Paris. The bedroom was large enough to hold our two 25kg suitcases, plus provide comfort and easy living. The bed was extremely comfortable. The living area was also very spacious with two lounges and a dining table. The kitchenette was the perfect size and contained easy to use appliances, even some food stocked up for us, which was very sweet. The bathroom was roomy and shower/bath was perfect. The apartment also contains a washing machine with plenty of room to hang clothes, which is always a bonus when traveling! The internet connection was reliable for connecting straight to the computer, but did not connect wirelessly to our phones.
The location of the apartment was amazing! The apartment is one street back from Rue Des Halles (main shopping strip) and nestled in amongst an array of restaurants and eateries. However, the apartment was very quiet as it faced away from the street. The Louvre Museum was within 7mins walk, and Notre Dame was 7mins walk in the opposite direction. The Metro train station was also literally right out the front door of the apartment. How much better can it get?
Our stay was also made complete by the assistance of Remi, the owner of the apartment. Remi was so lovely and extra nice when he met us on the day of our arrival. Remi spent over an hour of his time taking us for a walk around the block, showing us where the best places to eat, drink and shop were, how we could get to local attractions as well as some helpful advice we could not have survived without. Remi was an absolute godsend, a truly nice gentleman who could not have offered more.
We are simple people with simple means, which this apartment and Remi met perfectly. We have recommended this apartment to several of our friends and family, and would love others to experience the romance of this apartment!
Thank you to Aurelia and Remi for their excellent communication, help and genuine hospitality before, during and after our stay in your magical apartment. Next time we are back in Rome, we will definitely be coming back to this apartment.
Stayed two months in this apartment and was very happy. The description is accurate. It is tremendously convenient. I walked most everywhere and when I took the metro I had a choice of two entrances within steps of the front door. Could attent Notre Dame Sunday morning chant mass leaving home 8 minutes before start of service. Easy walk to Louvre, Opera and Marais. Slept like a lamb because the beds are excellent and the apartment is exceedingly quite. The layout of the apartment makes it easy to have guests. I'll admit the architecture of the bathroom amused me and puzzled me and the elevator is an engineering masterpiece. All furnishings and equipment are in excellent condition. I had two problems and the owners were quick to provide help. I thoroughly recommend this apartment and would stay there again if I am so lucky to get to visit Paris again.
