3 SUITES WITH PRIVACY AND GREAT MOUNTAIN VIEWS NEAR ASHEVILLE

Asheville House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Ask me about discount tickets to Biltmore Estate.

Come to Knob View Retreat and enjoy a relaxing vacation in this beautiful home with views out every window. The home has 3 bedroom suites, each with private ensuite bath and closet, perfect for the extended family or couples who enjoy vacationing together. Two of the suites have their own private covered porch to enjoy the refreshing mountain air and views and those glorious sunsets.

The house is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2900 feet elevation within a small mountain community containing only 7 houses on 70 acres.

Privacy abounds and so does the wildlife (please don't shoot the turkeys that wander through).

Enjoy a relaxing stay on the porch or drive just 12 miles to downtown Asheville and enjoy shopping and restaurants in the 'Paris of the South'. The town of Black Mountain is just 9 miles in the other direction. Spend a day at the Biltmore Estate (13 miles) or go hiking on any of the miles of trails just minutes away. Want to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway? An entrance is just 10 minutes away.

Our house has beds to accommodate 6 adults or combination of adults and children totaling 6 people. With advance notice we can arrange for a crib or pack and play. No more than 6 people.

The last mile of road to the house is a gravel road which climbs 400 feet in elevation. A 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle is not necessary but would be helpful. Front wheel drive vehicles with a low gear will get you there. Electric and hybrid vehicles with a CVT transmission or other transmissions without a low gear or other low HP vehicles are not advisable.

I am a real estate broker serving the WNC mountains area. Previously I served 9 years in the Army and spent 20 years writing computer software. We have lived in the Asheville area for 10 years and love it here. This house was our personal home until September 2011 when we moved into the second home that I've built. We love this home so much we decided to share it with others as a vacation rental. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did the 5 years we lived there.

Michael White purchased this house in 2006

We didn't buy a vacation rental, we converted our own home when we moved. We built our home in this location because it is a beautiful site with privacy and mountain views but yet just minutes to everything one needs.

I enjoy the privacy and quite, you can hear the birds chirping, the squirrels rustling through the leaves, and the wind blow. At dusk the sunsets over the mountain range are to die for. At night the crickets will sing you to sleep. And of course the mountain views everywhere you look! Ahhhhh

AWESOME CABIN

  • 5 of 5
My sister and her friend come down from the north and I come up from the south to spend a week together. This cabin was a perfect home base for us. Having 3 full bathrooms is a plus. The views from the deck are amazing. The cabin is very clean and well stocked. Having read past reviews we were nervous about the driveway but it posed no problem at all even after some heavy rain. We give the cabin 5 stars and are looking forward to coming back sometime next year.

A PEACEFUL RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
This wonderful home is exactly as pictured. It is spacious and has wonderful views from the bedrooms and living room. There are many balconies to enjoy the mountains and the secluded setting. The kitchen was well equipped. The location is close to Asheville, The Blue Ridge Parkway and the Biltmore Estate. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

NC VACATION

  • 5 of 5
Wow! What a great home! We loved the secluded setting and GORGEOUS scenery. We also loved that it was central to so many wonderful things the mountains have to offer. In four days we visited Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Biltmore, Dupont Forest, and horseback riding. We ate at fabulous Asheville restaurants and loved your Okie Dokies suggestion. This was a perfect family getaway.

EXCELLENT

  • 5 of 5
My family and I have just returned from a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at Knob View Retreat. The positive reviews of the place are 100% correct and reliable. Without any reservations, we would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. The place was clean, spacious and well decorated. The location is ideal in that you are off the beaten path and with great views, but close to the Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner was most helpful and was always prompt in responding and answering questions.

GREAT HOUSE

  • 5 of 5
We wish we had had more time to stay in this house. Suites and 3 baths worked perfectly, you can spend all day together in one house and still have some privacy left. All information provided by the owner was accurate and helpful. Combining Biltmore and Asheville attractions, filled with people, with the peace and quiet of this house and surroundings was perfect for short, weekend getaway. If we ever decide to come back to the area we will for sure start our search with this rental house.
