Overview

Tahoe City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

Charming cabin with a stunning view of the lake and a convenient location.

The cabin is great for winter renters as it is close to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood. And the national forest neighboring the house makes for amazing sledding.

During the summer you can start your day with a bang by going river rafting down Truckee River, then wind down with a nice barbecue lunch on the deck or walk down to Sunnyside for some dining on the lake. And don't forget all the hiking and biking there is to be done in the national forest and around the lake!

The master bedroom has 2 full sized beds and a connecting bathroom. The other bedrooms share a full bathroom; one room has a bunk bed and twin bed, and the other has a queen. Wake up in each room with a view of the sunrise over the lake. The kitchen has been recently renovated, and the connecting living room has a wood burning fireplace, tv, board games, and a great view

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Chinh,

Happy New Year! We returned from our Tahoe vacation on Sunday and I wanted to let you know how wonderful your house is! Your home is so comfortable, spacious and relaxing--it was wonderful to return there each day after having long, fun days of skiing and snowboarding. And the view from your living room and deck are beyond beautiful. Being an early bird, I was lucky enough to watch the sun rise each day over the lake and it was a spectacular sight--a true treasure to witness.

I am definitely interested in renting your house again, for the same week next year if possible. I'll be in touch to follow up with that. Thanks again for everything and enjoy the new year. Take care.

Great Cabin. Perfect Location.

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't really do this property justice. The view from the clean updated deck is fantastic, and the nearby trees provide just enough shade when you need it. Architecturally this is kind of like mid-century modern meets cozy rustic Tahoe. The master bedroom is on one side and the two smaller bedrooms on the other, separated by the large open living area in the middle with the kitchen facing the lake. The property is situated at the end of a large open cul-de-sac that backs into open forest with only a couple of neighboring homes. So if you have small children with bikes they can safely ride around and you have comfort in knowing there's no through traffic. The downhill walk or bike ride to Sunnyside, the Tahoe House or even Tahoe City is fun and simple. For return bike rides you'll probably want to just walk your bicycle back up the hill at the end, but my middle-aged legs managed it once or twice (with the right gear of course). There is some traffic noise from the main road below, so this is not a location if you want complete Alpine peace and seclusion. However, the view and conveniences more than drown out that imperfection. We'll be returning again for sure!

Wonderful Cabin with Beautiful Lake View

  • 5 of 5

We had the privilege of enjoying this beautiful and spacious cabin for the week after the Fourth. We were amazed by the view from the deck when we arrived. The cabin and surrounding area is very quiet and relaxing. Definitely a great place to get away and enjoy the beauty of Tahoe!

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with a group of friends over a long weekend in the summertime. Photos and description of cabin features are accurate; the house was clean and in good condition. Newly renovated kitchen, fabulous deck with lake views and perfect for grilling and watching shooting stars! The owner, Chinh, is really responsive via email and very accommodating. Walking distance to Sunnyside and the lake, very close to Tahoe City. We used the cabin as basecamp for nearby golfing, fishing, boating, and hiking. Quiet and private location at end of a cul-de-sac. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here- are hoping to return soon!

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

8 of us (4 adults and 4 children) enjoyed staying in this clean and comfortable cabin. The open floor plan is ideal and spacious. There is plently of room in the kitchen and master bathroom, the second bathroom is minimal. The view is beautiful and the kids enjoyed exploring the woods around the cabin and playing with the provided board games. The location is close (about 1.5 miles) to Tahoe City, the beach, the Truckee River raft rental, and a great little bakery just before entering town. The owner is very pleasant to work with and answered questions promptly. This cabin helped to make our vacaton even more enjoyable. We would definatley rent it again and highly recommend it.

We had a great time there even during the summer time. No mosquitos or bugs. The weather is comfortable during the day and night time. Very convenient place (close to the shop and truckee river ) and neighborhood is very nice and quite. Would love to come back there again !
