A cool spot on Dingle

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cottage! The location was a bit of a challenge to find , but Philomena's daughter Sharon, who was charming, was there to help. There were 4 of us, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment for food preparation. The fireplace ,with peat! added the Irish ambiance we were looking for. A wonderful community to explore with great hikes, towns and scenery.

Home on the Dingle Peninsula

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful cottage was the perfect place to call home for the four days we spent on the Dingle Peninsula. Well-appointed and cozy, the cottage - and our host, Philomena - wrapped us in warmth when we arrived after a long drive from Mayo. After a day of driving, hiking or shopping we knew we had a place where we could relax with a fire and cook ourselves a simple meal. The drive to and from Dingle was manageable for day trips but we chose not to brave the roads after dark. The view of the Blaskets, although partially obscured by some new houses, is still breathtaking. This is a home base for those who prefer quiet nights and lots of privacy.

Dingle Surprise

  • 5 of 5

Almost at the end of the Dingle Peninsula and quite secure, this is an excellent choice of a fully complete and comfortable two bedroom bungalow. Fully utilizable kitchen plus a washer and tumble dryer, and all the other things necessary for a worry free vacation. A 15 minute ride into Dingle which has all you need in the way of pubs and restaurants. Wonderful views of the Blasket Islands. A good location for walkers and bikers. Philomena is a wonderful host and very flexible. Highly recommended!

Nicest place on the planet.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I visited Ireland 5 years ago on a Fly and drive arriving in Shannon and leaving from Dublin. Staying in B&B's and going to a different destination every 2 days throughout the Republic of Ireland. So for our 25th wedding anniversary it was an easy decision, Dingle Peninsula. It was our favorite place on our travels.

The cottage is in a nice remote setting, nestled amongst grazing pastures and views of open land and the the ocean, with islands in the background. Sound nice, it is. The accommodations were nice and comfortable, your host Philomena, will make you feel welcome and answer any questions you may have. In closing, we could not of had a better time to enjoy our anniversary.

Lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time there, enjoying good weather for walking during the day and the comforts of central heating and wood and peat fire at night. The situation is wonderful and you can cook with a glimpse of the Blaskets in the distance. The trip to the Blaskets was magical as well as the many loop walks along cliffs and bogs. This part of Ireland is special. And the cottage with allo the mod cons for a comfortable holiday also provides the charm of the traditional lifestyle. You can wash your clothes in the washing machine then dry them on the line in the wind in the lovely grassy backyard with its wonderful view all around. We loved it and would gladly go back. Thank you, Philomena.
