We moved to Vail Valley for skiing, summer is why we stayed. Typical summer temps, 42 at night, 76 day and 35% humidity- ideal. Air conditioning is not necessary. Arrowhead is THE nicest summer location in the valley. It's private, the main entrance is staffed 24 hours a day east and west access points are gated. Vista, in the golf course club house, is an excellent restaurant serving lunch and dinner overlooking McCoy Creek with a piano bar that gets very lively. Across the street from the clubhouse are 6 clay tennis courts, a block away in the other direction, a pool and two hot tubs, children's and adults. The hot tubs are open in winter.
Arrowhead is flat terrain, adjacent to a basically flat bike path that winds it's way to Edwards, approx. a mile away. Edwards is a charming village along the eagle river with boutique shopping and over 30 restaurants ranging from casual to sushi and high end. We have a restaurant guide in the house.
Vail is 11 miles east. It's reputation speaks for itself. If you have not been here lately, recently Vail Village has undertaken a $3 billion renaissance, full of life. Between Vail and Beaver Creek we probably have 50 special events annually. Perfect family entertainment.
Access through Eagle County International airport (EGE) 25 miles away is very convenient, there are direct flights from 22 domestic airports.
